4 pointsI'm not sure whether I prefer the plain cover, or the camo cover, on the hunter. These are pretty much done One of the Blackfoots (blackfeet?) was kind of inspired by @Brodie0296's suggestion in another thread. One of these is pretty much done. and a vtol. the bastard child that's neither helo or plane. not much more to say about it. still a fair bit of work needed, but who cares? These are all wips at various stages of completion. I just wanted to get some feedback, see what people thought.

3 pointsObviously we prefer not to have the salty, immature children that spill over from Life servers and wherever else. Unfortunately, there's no way to know they are going to be idiots until they start being idiots. The reporting system (Robocop) and the staff team are able to take care of quite a lot of them. A lot of bans go out, probably more than most people realise, but there are always those that slip through the cracks. A lot of people also don't realise that Robocop kicks players that receive enough reports and blacklists them for the session (I'll add a message to show this). As Rog implied, we can't have someone online every hour of the day and that's where Robocop is meant to step in. It isn't perfect at the moment however, so currently my main goal is improving that system, especially during off-peak times. You should notice some of the improvements being slowly rolled out soon. I wouldn't say intentional teamkilling is 'not an issue'. If there is a staff member available, it almost always results in a warning/kick/ban depending on severity. Alternatively, as I said above, if there isn't a staff member and they receive enough reports, they are kicked. I did take your suggestion for friendly markers into consideration. I should have posted it in your thread too, but I mentioned in one of my devlog posts a month ago that I improved the reliability of the green nametags. It wasn't only staff members that disagreed with the strict uniform restriction/hex combo though. How do you think we can combat the issue you mentioned in your example?

2 pointsSounds logical to me. As a Pilot I wouldn't really think "Oh, the Little Bird is gone so I'll go take the Side Bird" but then some people don't care about the rules. I'd say making that a solid rule (Enforced automatically if possible?) would keep Side Bird for those missions more. As to the original issue of abuse of Pilots because of flying Little Bird to AO, you choose the heli and the LZ. They don't have to like it, they can go another way. I would say, on the flip side, being the only (Or one of 2) pilot on the server means you really should take something bigger if there's enough players to justify it. But if you've been playing that heli for a bit then suddenly people get salty, it's on them to approach that appropriately with you instead of abusing you.

2 pointsAs for the Hummingbird thing, I think restricting the side bird to non-pilots only and the main one to only pilots (no copilot either unless <20 players) would be good. Thoughts?

1 pointHello, StrayaGaming Community. Have you ever attempted to apply for anything, and for various reasons you have been denied? Recently I was denied of an application because of my Personality and how I communicate with the Community and wasn't able to explain or elaborate on decisions I have made. Not giving me a chance to prove my abilities, and denied of something that maybe I can't change or that a disorder is keeping me from changing. I feel that the reason I was denied of can’t be changed because people have enjoyed my personality and some even find it interesting. When you are been asked to change your personality; which is a major thing to do. Just to be accepted into a virtual team, just isn’t really good enough. I'm not writing this so you all feel sorry for me. I'm writing this to try and get my point across to everyone in the community that has been pushed away because of who you truly are. So let's carry on, With the person not knowing my actual personality, I feel as if I was misjudged and that I wasn’t given a chance to change or even show them what my best abilities are. I was denied without an explanation of what is “Bad” or “Unsuitable” about my personality. (Yes this is a support Application) for some people, it may be easy to just “change” their entire personality, but for others, it is based on the people around you or how you grow up; the people you grow up with and etc. Including not knowing what is good or bad about your personality can be extremely frustrating and confusing. With my application been posted around a month ago, I feel that it is unfair and that Higher ups are sometimes biased towards who they are accepting, based on opinion, not fact. I have talents that others do not have and of course, others have talents that I do not have. Most of the higher up staff who are to accept/deny these applications don’t truly know what I'm capable of and yet they still attempt to judge me on my past and not look into the fact that I have matured and made different choices over the years, they also have the audacity to tell me that my personality is terrible or unsuitable when they haven’t even given me a chance or got to know me well. In conclusion, I just believe that if it is based on history or personalities if the staff are not certain about it, they should at least give them a chance or try and prove themselves. I understand it is completely fair if people are denied for things such as having low confidence or are not suitable in any of that matter, but been straight up denied for having an unsuitable personality is just rubbish. Thank You for reading this if this has ever happened to you please comment down below like I said I'm not aiming for sympathy I just want to get my point across and if you think that I’m taking this too far or having a sook than you're wrong.

1 pointHi Cables. To provide a different viewpoint on this discussion; I am 34, have been working full-time for 15 years, and have applied for a number of roles over that time. Most I have been successful with and a few I have not. One role I wanted. I wanted it BADLY. But in the end, they decided that my personality/style didn't fit with the culture of the team I would be joining, and the role went to someone else. Does that reflect badly on me or that organisation? I don't think so, sometime it's just not a good 'fit' for the role for many types of reasons. However, it was my gracious acceptance of that decision, and a desire to seek feedback on the reasons for that decision, that led to this organisation considering me strongly for a higher role in the future. How we conduct ourselves when circumstances don't go our way reflect on us more than when they do. You've made a positive step in this process by seeking this feedback above, which I applaud you for. All the best.

1 pointSorry to hear you haven't had a pleasant time on the server . We can't always monitor everything people say, especially if it's through ingame voice chat. However, we do take player abuse very seriously. I'll send you a private message to get some more details on the incident.

1 pointI'd like to start off by thanking everyone for congratulating me on my promotions to Commissioner. What will happen now is that I will be getting some input over ideas myself and other members of the community have come up with. Over the week and maybe next week, I will be conducting interviews with every police officer rank Sergeant or above. If you would like an interview and want your input heard, please send me a private message on the forums stating what you want changed or suggestions that will improve the APD. The main topics that will be discussed: Changes in General Duties, Sydney LAC/Highway Patrol Reintroducing Public slots and the whitelisting of Officers. Police Arsenal and Vehicles S.R.T. Detectives Full time Cop vs Rebel The following Officers are required for an interview, try and arrange this with me on teamspeak please. @Nigel Gluesniff @Mitch096 @Milkdud @★Smokey★ @Hunterr @Spetsnaz AKA Andrew @Augnov @Lucas Gluesniff Promotions and Career Paths In a perfect world we'll have cops that play cop for the experience, not the rank. Which is one of the reasons why I'm against most of the training that was conducted before the reset. People would get promoted based on the completion of their training, rather than their performance. It's okay to get frustrated when someone else gets promoted before you, what's not okay is when you play an hour a week and expecting a promotion. Getting training is not required for a promotion, but it will definitely help. You can ask how to get a promotion, but don't try to ask for one or try to subtly ask for a promotion because it will not end well. I've delayed promotions because of this. Promotions from Prob. Constable to Senior Constable are pretty standard. Show that you know what you're doing and that you can be active and have a good attitude towards cop. Promotions to Sergeant and Senior Sergeant is a bit harder. You have to be a really good leader, shown to have a great attitude, and be able to roleplay or show your dedication and commitment to the APD. My suggestion to this would be joining any police division, Polair/SRT/Detective and be involved in the Police Academy. The Academy has unlimited slots, you just have to put in a little effort to become a member. Promotions to Inspector will be based on your dedication and efforts. An example is Smokey. Yes he's made some mistakes, yes he's done some bad things in the past. He has shown a lot of dedication to cop, most of which is behind the scenes. He's done most of the interviews himself and written up a document to tell others how to do them. Some things that will also be considered into promotions is your performance in hostile situations in terms of communications and situational awareness. Hopefully we can start having some weekly events and training sessions. Updating the Protocols https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LE-r9Crm02ORd0RjwSzJDdP2OWk9NQIf4o93n-YSxrY/edit?usp=sharing After discussion with some command team members, we feel that the current protocols is a bit excessive and most people here probably haven't gone through half of it. There are some minor changes in this protocol and more might even be added. The purpose of updating the protocols is to give officers more discretion and freedom to do what they think is best. I've been on cop almost every day and what I've noticed is that some officers are afraid to take action, especially against trolls. It's okay to tase trolls without a warning, the new protocol is there to protect you incase some troll comes into PD nitpicking every small detail of the protocol and starts yelling "I'm going to IA/Helpdesk, you're meant to give 3 warnings before tasing me". The updated protocols is not in effect yet and hopefully it will be in effect by Sunday. Clarifying the ticket for "Entering PD with malicious intent" As stated in the home page, and the tickets. We spend too much time messing around in PD, most of it is dealing with civilians. If someone comes driving into PD ramming cars or helicopters, send them to jail for 5 minutes. No rights need to be read, no processing needs to be done. They don't need to be given multiple warnings, a ticket or anything because it's just a waste of our time when they don't want to roleplay. Now if someone comes into PD yelling random things, running around, being abusive. You can tase them, restrain them and give them one warning and tell them that if they come back into PD they'll be sent to jail. The other ticket for entering a restricted area (PD/FED) is only used if they've entered PD and haven't done anything wrong. Cop and Rebel Activities Currently, the highest rank you can go while playing in a Rebel/Cartel gang is Senior Constable. This is going to be increased to Sergeant and possibly even Senior Sergeant. To elaborate on what you can and cannot do (none of this is final and will be further discussed): Any rank up to Sergeant You can do whatever you want on civilian. Senior Sergeant to Inspector You may do rebel activities alone without any gang/cartel affiliation. This includes going to the KOS rebel shop. You may be part of a civilian gang and mess around in Sydney, but do note that any server rule you break you may be subject to disciplinary action. You may be part of a civilian contracting group that does not focus on providing security. Example, being part of a transportation company. Superintendent and above Full time cop, absolutely no rebel activity. You are pretty much an off-duty cop on civ. Detectives/SRT Absolutely no rebel activity allowed. Reason being, these roles main job is to prevent rebel activities and they may have access to highly sensitive information and we want to prevent metagaming as much as possible.
