Changing the attitude of players in an online gaming community, you are requesting something that is almost impossible. As much as I wish it was, it's not something I can force down the throats of our players, they will just leave or ignore us until they are banned. Something important to remember about the internet is that the majority of gamers believe in their own sense of anonymity and god like status, so they act however they see fit. accompanied by this is the ability to act like a complete prick or ass without a care in the world. Having said that, If you have suggestions on how we can change staff policies please send a message to @Nevetos and include me on the message as well. I can suggest a few things for you regarding the server - Report the player that RDM'ed you, 9/10 times they will be dealt with correctly. (According to our community policies and staff policies) Please keep in mind that our staff do not just instantly ban someone the first time they do something wrong, if they are remorseful, understand what they have done wrong and are willing to change they will be let off with a warning. Obviously if they go and do the same thing again 5 minutes later, they clearly do not care for our rules and will be punished appropriately. - If you have a major issue with the police force and you believe that the senior command team is not reacting, teaching or behaving appropriately, please feel free to send me a message detailing everything that occurred. Before you do that, please speak with the command team first, I am the finaly point of contact for major police issues on AL.

Right...and this is coming from the guy that left initially to take up a major movie editing role at the age of 12?

I'm not disputing the fact that it improved your FPS, I'm just making sure we understand that you can't remove objects that are part of the map, you can only hide them which is what the module does. Given ur FPS boost I assume it disables all simulation on the hidden objects which is pretty cool and a huge deal in the case of trees and bushes (cause they sway in the wind which I assume takes a bit of effort).

Name: krypkii Callsign: [S01W] Date of Disciplinary Action: 15/11/2017 What Disciplinary Action was placed against you: BLACKLIST from S.R.T and Detective and a suspension from cop. Who were you Disciplined by: Milkdud Reason for Disciplinary Action against you: Playing rebel with [TSF] tags whilst not on leave whilst in a division, participating in an house-raid with TSF, and disobeying orders from a cabinet member. Why the appeal should be accepted: Firstly, I understand what I did wrong regarding the incident where I was playing Rebel with [TSF] tags whilst not in a division. I have had the previous history of it and was kicked from S.R.T for that specific reason, I, however, was playing on leaving S.R.T that same day but was having mixed feelings, which was why I was playing rebel but had not openly discussed my position in S.R.T. That same night I joined detectives and stopped playing the rebel up until last night where I wanted to camp coke proc but had no Aobe members to chill with I decided to join DJ_Joozbrorg and his gang so if I were decd upon I would have more backup. At this point, I had not taken leave which was my fault. Whilst down at coke proc DJ had hit off a house at Kalithea which was [BFB] house. I then flew over to the house with my intentions being to help in case of a firefight between them and [BFB]. I, however, had died before getting there. DJ ended scoring an RPG and a Navid from the burglary. I then taunted FarmerGeorge saying that we had split the loot. Which we didn't. DJ can confirm he sold both the RPG and Navid. This was then followed by a metagaming accusation as I was in detectives, however, I do not have access to house information as a Trial Detective. This was then followed up by a message from Milkdud in Teamspeak telling me I was blacklisted from 2 divisions. I joined the Melb LAC channel which was where he and other cops we're chilling so that I could speak with him. We got into a heated argument, one which I will not get into details but will say it was very very heated. Both Milkdud and I were extremely heated and he told me to get out of the channel, which I did not and I received a suspension. In conclusion, Milkdud put it perfectly which was actually one of the reasons I got pissed off in the first place which is that I am trial-moderator and there are certain procedures I must follow to do a certain thing. I, however, did not do the procedure of applying for leave and that one simple procedure that I disregarded, blew up in my face and left me with Blacklists and a suspension. Following this, I then disobeyed an order from the Deputy Commissioner. Which at the time only occurred because I was extremely pissed off. I have taken some time to cool off and write this appeal and I was not myself last night. The whole day was shitty for me IRL and in-game and I think everything just combined and I just took it out on Milkdud, and for that, I say I am sorry. Gracias.

you hid "other" objects, not removed. 15 fps is pretty good, I personally don't notice a difference but I have high fps most of the time so its harder for me to judge the impact.

Although i would love a change and a new map but, regards to performance issues i have a really good computer myself so i'm speaking for friends and others. Not everybody has a decent PC that can run Arma 3 at a solid FPS or even Stratis putting SG on Straya is going to make the situation a lot worse for the people without a half decent PC or mac xd. Performance issues will be the number #1 problem for SG players if it was to switch to Malden and i can almost guarantee you that we as a community will lose players due to the map switch.

In regards to the specific police situation. The attitude you are talking about is quite rare now on cop (for various reasons) and only really comes around for 2 reasons: 1) Someone was promoted and feels like they have sooooo much power to hold over you 2) People are getting annoyed/stressed I can guarantee the actions at that bank were from people in group number 2 who were just annoyed they lost too many officers. I will agree both sides of that did something wrong. All the cops should not have pushed like that after being told not too (I was one of them). But the commander of the bank should have made himself clearer with other officers making order like statements to push. The command of the bank also lacked another viable plan.... e.g. it’s a game so it’s not viable to sit there and wait for 1 hour for some guy in a tower (I rushed cause I needed to go to dinner so I didn’t care if I died or killed them TBH). If the team commanding the situation had come up with an alternative on how to kill the blokes in the tower other then “let’s just wait” (like blowing the tower up), I believe they would have much more of a right to be angry. However they just got angry cause they were annoyed that it seemed no one listened to them and they were stressed because they now had 6 less cops. Personally I find the best thing to do is just take a deep breathe, jump off for a little bit then come back on when everyone has cooled off and everybody is cool again to play normally. You just got stuck on the end of a pretty normal reaction of a person who didn’t have time to carefully plan their reaction due to being in a situation. (Which happens in real life too) One final note is to not worry too much, you must remember the CO of the bank is always learning and will learn from that bank. I have lots of comments about it but I know his job isn’t to be perfect but to improve. (Although he wants it to be perfect so he can more quickly gain a promotion, and hence the stress he experiences) (also there can be a lot of pressure from higher ranks to do things right despite them seeming to not be around) But overall I really do think Strayagaming has changed for the better however there is a higher number of players making things harder to control everybody and inevitably increasing the amount of people who could care naught for server rules. But luckily we have a dedicated staff team to help us all out in sticky situations and time to cool off after annoying moments

So after coming back onto the server after an arguably long break of about 8 months I thought hey this is a nice new forum straya must have changed right, wrong. I go on for a 2 hour session to see whats changed since I have been gone for ages and nothing has. All the cop force is made up of people power hungry and plain bipolar yelling at people for rushing a tower and getting killed. I understand Altis Life is supposed to be a "realistic roleplay simulator" but yelling at and abusing people for playing a game is a bit absurd. I go onto medic and get RDMed almost 20 minutes into playing. What I'm saying is nothing has changed in this server and saying oh we have made so many amazing changed to the server doesnt make it great its the community. This server hasn't changed one bit since the time it relaunched which is pretty sad.

Assuming things have changed over time isn't unreasonable imo, but finding out that it hasn't changed would only be worth complaining about if no one was enjoying the current state of the server which based on the growing nightly peak population, isn't the case. You get RDM no matter what server you go on, we can't prevent RDM because them trolls be rampant so it needs to be reported for punishment after it occurs. Also I am yet to see a server where no one has ever made a single complaint about the cop force, so while valid they are really some unavoidable complaints.

Well said @Red @Charlie You can't expect everything to be perfect, no one will always act the way you want, and no one will always conduct themselves in a manner in which you see fit. However, it's unreasonable to expect change if you aren't prepared to properly report and figure out what's going wrong and where.
