6 pointsAltis Life v6.6.1887 Release Date: 01/12/2017 Size: 20,428KB Notes: Download the update before it goes live here! Have a question about this update? Ask it on discord. Items marked with * have a related segment under "Details" Change Log: Added: 20 more civilian slots (120 total) Added: 10 more cop slots (split between srt, cabinet and polair) Added: Bank cooldowns are now hardcoded* Added: Discord live feed* Modified: Redesigned Sydney Square* Modified: Progress bar reverted back to an overlay (you can look around)* Modified: Ghosthawks are lethal again, unlocked at level 9 Modified: Disabled multiple people viewing physical inventories Modified: Updated anticheat for Arma 3 1.78 Modified: A few minor changes to map and configs (I forgot to write them down ) Details: Please note most of these changes were made while I was battling a migraine, so if something is broken I do apologize and will fix it asap. Bank Cooldowns: Cooldown times match what is stated on the rules page, there is just no way to break those rules now. Discord live feed: I thought it would be kind of cool to send some of the global alerts from ingame to discord too. The idea being you can still know whats happening on Altis even when you're offline. Right now it only sends messages for the 3 civilian missions (treasure wreck, drug shipment, air drop) and depending on how people feel we can add more messages to it. Sydney Square: Parking that backed onto the main road has started to be a problem during peak time with the number of speed demons we have racing around. The square has been redesigned and with safety in mind. Progress Bar: Finally you can look around and even move depending on the action your doing. Let me know if you find any bugs with the progress bar, it was a bit buggy changing away from an overlay so it may be buggy changing back. Report all bugs via discord. If you have a suggestion, please send it to the Altis Life staff team. Thanks for playing StrayaGaming Altis Life!

3 pointsGeneral Alias: Griffin In-Game Role Play Name: Griffin TeamSpeak Name: Griffin Age (Minimum 15): ...30. Steam 64 ID/Player ID: 765611197968704962 Questionnaire: - Why were you removed from the APD? I gave my resignation to Brad when i was stripped of the rank of Chief Inspector - as was 99% of the cop force, whether they had a good service record or not. (A decision i still disagree with; i admit, some members did require a bump down the chain, but a universal blank-demotion was extremely excessive) Why should you be reenlisted back into the APD? During the time I served Melbourne LAC and the police under my command, i was able to accomplish many, many things: -I petitioned successfully for prowlers to be implemented in Melbourne LAC in general service duties, better enabling the police force to adapt and survive to the harsh environment of Melb LAC. -I ran many successful training schedules, teaching junior police officers, who have now grown into becoming fierce, capable leaders themselves. -I ran a fierce ongoing operation to stamp out drug trafficking -I was 2IC of APD Intelligence, and through many successful reconnaisance missions with intelligence officers, we were able to conduct many sweeping raids across organised crime syndicates, stripping them of rebel weapons, ammunition, explosives, clothing and drugs, exceeding a street value of $900,000,000 (Some of the cartels we hit include, but are not limited to , Somali Pirates, Aobe, TSF and NTR) - If you enlist into the APD, where do you see yourself in 3 months?: -In 3 months or so, i'd like to be progressing up the chain back into a role where I can be best put to use. Ideally i'd like to be able to reintroduce a proper intelligence organisation that focuses on surveillance, raids and undercover operations. What do you believe you can bring to the Altis Police Department ?: One thing that stands out is I speak my mind. I am very direct, but I am fair. I will not intentionally go out of my way to insult or harass people. I say things how it is. This has, at times, ruffled people up the wrong way who mistake my mannerism for insolence, however, I only treat others fairly and as I would expect to be treated. This extends up and down the chain of command. I believe that if a senior officer is making a mistake, they should be given a chance to be made aware of it, corrected, rather than continuing to make the error again. I deliver strong leadership skills, organisational skills, and fair, sound judgement. I've always tried to have a fair and reasonable amount of respect for others, including those who rank above me, though I do not believe a rank will permit someone to commit blind errors, be it an error of judgement tactically, or behaviourally. In the past, even recently so, I've been made away of the shortcomings of the APD, but I wish to become a part of the solution - rather than sit on the sidelines and simply wish and want for it's failure like others. I do personally feel that there will be roadblocks - It's no secret i've made some enemies along the way, but I feel that I made some great mates, and those mates are now leading officers, heading up the APD - people that, during my time in Melbourne LAC, people like Bow, like Augnov, like Moygstar, listened, learned, and become capable , strong leaders in themselves and learnt skills from me. Though that said, I do know there are those who don't take kindly to my direct, no-bs approach, and there always will be individuals like that - one cannot be expected to have absolutely every single police officer as their best friend. What they can hope for, is to make a lasting, positive impact on the APD - and I feel that, for the most part, i did just that. Moving forward, my sole intention is to act as a supporting element to the current leaders. To have their back when they stumble, to support their decisions, to provide sound, fair counsel when they make the wrong decisions, and be that guy once more who ends up hauling in 6-10 crims at a time, screaming at the top of their lungs because they got caught, and having those shining moments. Are you up to date with the new Police Protocols that were in effect as of 04/06/2017? Yes, I am. How much time can you dedicate to the Altis Police Department?: A reasonable amount of time - I do have work / family commitments, but my free gaming time, which averages about 7-10 hours a week If you were demoted for any reason other than Inactivity, you are required to have at least two referrals from a Sergeant or above. Who are you referrals (@their forum name): -As stated before (Clarified also with Augnov) - mass reset demotion occurred, and resignation ensued.

1 pointDeclaration of Application: - By placing this Application you are not guaranteed placement in the Academy. Your Application for Academy Officer in the APD may be Denied if you answers do not meet the minimum word limit, you lie in your answers, have an unsatisfactory history of Server Rule Breaches/ Protocol Breaches or fail to agree and acknowledge all statements and declarations in this Application. You Application may also be Denied after an Interview with a member of the Academy Officer. If you application is Denied a time frame will be placed after which you may reapply. Acknowledgement of Declaration: (Y/N) Y Basics: - Name on Database: nclem Callsign: S01E Rank: Senior Sergeant Age: 16 Questionnaire: - Why do you want to join the Altis Police Department Academy (100 words min)?: Having spent almost 2 years working with many mixed batches of officers in an on the ground role, I'd like to step up into a more administrative role that involves the training, management and recruitment of future police officers, and the APD as a whole. My time actually spent at home being able to play has become limited, and I'm hoping to get into a more administrative position that will allow me to still interact and give back to the APD, while not directly playing as much as I used to (e.g managing complaints, queries through teamspeak on mobile etc etc). I also feel as If I would be a good fit for the role. What can you bring to the Academy? (50 words min)?: Plain and simple, experience. I have 2000+ hours (out of my 2357) playing as a police officer over two years (averages out to about 2 a day). I've done everything at this point; SRT, Detective, PolAir(Current) and I used to be in an administrative position (Chief inspector 1ish years ago). I am also (while not as much as before) very active, always available on TS and as I always say, empathetic. Do you wish to work in Enlistment or Training? Why? (50 words min)?: Wherever I'm needed, I'm happy to be shuffled around. Preferably training as it has a direct impact on the future skill and ability of the APD, and learned/gained skills help change public perception of the APD. When I first reached Sgt (about 18 ish months ago) I was put in charge of a lot of training of lower ranks and I still do training when requested. How much time can you dedicate to the Altis Police Department?: Already put forward 2k+ hours of my time, 2h+ a day and many more to come. Have you ever been the subject of Disciplinary Action within the APD? If so when and why? I am always someone who has worked towards having a clean record, and in the last 2-3 months this is not something I have done well, however after having a wakeup call I've worked hard to keep my record clean (which it has been). I've had a couple strikes, a few warnings and a reclassification, unfortunately I couldn't tell you the exact date of them but I'm sure they're retrievable. Have you read the Altis Police Department Protocols?: (Y/N) Y Have you read the Altis Police Department Academy Staff Guidelines?: (Y/N) Y Do you acknowledge that by partaking in illegal or 'Rebel' activities you do not have the right to apply for Speciality Divisions within the APD such as SRT, POLAIR, Detectives and The Police Academy: (Y/N) Y - Quick side note, I am already full time cop and do not partake in any rebel activities whatsoever. By placing this application you acknowledge that any work you do for the APD can be edited by the Command Team and other Academy Officers without your consent. Any work you do for the APD remains the property of the APD. Any "Code Black" information you are given is to remain unreleased into the Community. - Acknowledged.

1 pointJust have a couple of questions about the Main AO and side missions. In regards to the Main AO, is there currently any plans to change the format? Currently it is three objectives. Destroy the radio tower, take HQ and clear the area. Occasionally we also get the odd defend here and there. I was curious about the possibility of adding or changing objectives randomly within the AO. Similar to a side mission, add in an anti air battery, artillery outpost or perhaps a helicopter landing pad where you have to destroy a fuel/ammo station? Just seeking something different that keeps troops moving. Currently the majority of players take HQ and just camp there until the AO finishes once the tower is destroyed, which is usually done by someone rushing into AO with a car. side Missions... Currently we are rewarded for completing them, but is there any action if we fail? Just an idea, if we fail a side mission, have a couple of Tigs spawn outside of an AO at random position on the map, or a couple of armed helicopters spawn. Transport helicopter flies to AO, next thing they are targeted out of the blue and CAS/Armour/UAV has to go eliminate them? As it stands once an AO has spawned, anti air is taken out immediately. If anti air isn’t your thing, maybe a tank platoon? 4 MBT head for Main AO? just a suggestion.

1 point1. What side are you usually on when attending a bank robbery? I mostly play Cop, but have played civ often 2. Why do you rob bank? Mostly for the roleplay, but a bit for the cash 3. What roles do you usually play when at bank? (explain what should be easier or harder to do with the roles you play) Normally Cop, but the few times on civ, I have been the teller (do nothing), marksman (shoot da cops), external in a vehicle (distract and bait kills) 4. Who should the bank favour? Cops 100%. Rebels overcome the police with tactics, surprising plays, and lack of protocols, not to mention gear *navids pls*. 5. What style of bank and surrounding buildings do you prefer? I think there should be ONE bank with solid water access, and a 'bridge-like-structure' for land vehicles access (*cough* neri *cough*) As for the other bank(s), mixing the style up would be nice. I'm personally very into dynamic changes, so even if the bank structures were on some kind of 2month rotation, that would be cool. On a side note I think a bank at the current shady doctor, (military structures on a hill), would be nice to attack and defend from. And for the roleplay I think we rename any banks outside of a city a vault (ie Westpac Vault). Also I quite dislike the bus station feature, it is nice and all, however may I remind us all of a time before the bus stations, where POLAIR was used for transport, hell, going even further back, where there were police stationed at other cities too :p. I know it's a bit boring out there, but it had its clear benefits, and served as good opportunity for extensive training without disturbing the main gameplay. Anyways, I'm getting off topic, but it's all related to how the banks play out.

1 pointi have never seen the blackfish carry anything other than marshalls. occasionally a prowler or 2. i think this would be limiting the armor a lot more than how it is. there really isnt a point to having the y32 other than its agile but even then you still have to slow down to land
-
1 pointthe best banks are the banks with loads of roleplay and no one gets killed
-
1 point1. Cop 2. - cop 3. F 4. I'm torn between C and E - It needs to be possible for robbers to get themselves into emplacements that they can actually defend, but there also have to be downsides OTHER than losing gear to robbing bank, alternatively there needs to be more variety for cops 5. e - I'd like to see less focus on external and more of a "Robbers are held up in the building, cops are stationed outside" sort of thing - this naturally gives way to negotiations, if cops can stand outside and yell at the robbers inside, they can negotiate before breaching - as it is now, if you even think about going up to the front you will be shot. So instead of the fight encompassing a 3k area, more like just the 1 building with maybe the ones across the street involved. The bank building should be a more complex one with multiple rooms and not just empty floors. I'd also just like to flag that with a bank re-work make sure you re-work the rules and police protocols regarding them
-
0 pointsNothing to do with the bank, But I think moving the Police station out of kavala will be a lot better for the server
-
0 pointsThe problem with negotiations is that when cops say "Free Passage " it never really means Free Passage, it means "As soon as the hostage is ours or you look away from it we're going to shoot you" this is one of they key factors why you will never see rebels trying to roleplay things out with the cops. As Seal said: And I can admit that as a Cop I've been guilty of this, and as a rebel I've been guilty of only doing bank for the frags but from neutral perspective both sides have flaws within them and both sides have positives. Either the Admin's need to work out some clear negotiation rules (Which is the only viable option really seeing as this is an RP Server) or design a way to make it fair for both sides, so Cop's don't just get rolled every bank or that Rebels can roleplay without having to worry about getting shot as soon as a hostage leaves their possession. The way Bank works without a hostage is this: Bank gets hit> no option for negotiations>everyone dies. The way Bank works with a hostage is this: Bank gets hit> Negotiations (whether successful or unsuccessful) > Free Passage Everyone dies.
