Battle Of The Best The Altis Life Senior Staff team will be hosting a Team Deathmatch event Saturday 13th April 2019. Battle of the best is a tournament where different teams will fight to see who is the best. Fights will happen between teams of six with equal equipment supplied by staff at OG Arms. How It Works: Infantry only, one team will be spawned on the northside of OG Arms (Capture Point 1) the second on the south, teams will battle it out in a best of 3 format (5 minutes rounds) with the winning team progressing. The winner of the event will take the entire buy-in and 6 tokens. On top of this event we will also be running a side event with the bracket predictions feature, people will be able to place predictions 24 hours before the event and the person with the most predictions will win a prize. On The Day: All teams must be in Teamspeak 10 minutes before the event starts. Each team will have a sub channel in the Altis Life events area. Registration: Reply to this post with a team name (keep it clean) and a list of player with Steam64 IDs. Members of all factions are welcome. Registration closes midnight 11/4/2019 Sydney Time. Thanks to some generous donations from @Bang1324 we have the opportunity to upgrade our hardware to the newest generation gear! All services will be moving from i7 6700k's to i7 7700k's, and from Windows Server 2012 R2 to Windows Server 2019. (I'm on the hunt for some i9 9900k servers as well, but the pickings are slim in Australia) We have received some competitive pricing from a new provider, I'm going to trial them until our yearly lease is up for the current servers; towards the end of this month. I'm moving CQC over at the moment, Wasteland and I&A 2 (Tanoa) will join shortly after. To properly test out the new hardware I would really like to have a large number of players on one of the servers for an event. I've requested the I&A team setup a fun event for one of the Tanoa T-Days, so it will be good to see a lot of people there. There might be some steam gift cards for the best players on the day. Once the testing is done I will need to decide on which provider to go with and when we do the final move. The server with Altis Life and Invade and Annex is our primary server, it is a massive pain to move everything cleanly so there will probably be an extended outage for all services reliant on that server.

RHS AFRF would provide better enemies. Using the rhs_faction_msv faction would be cool. I think a Russian Federation invasion of Tanoa would be awesome.

We all know contractors being hired by the police and helping them take down people who do drug runs and more but, can we consider another thing called illegal contractors, do they fit in the role of contractors, they protect people who are doing drug runs and other illegal stuff that needs to be done? cause I would like to sign my group up as an illegal contracting service and help the public out to make the police and civilians are even and not one sided?

Well, honestly got no clue who remembers me but whatever. I've been playing this Strayagaming community since I bought Arma III In 2015, mainly in Invade and Annex, but occasionally switching to Altis life here and there as a cop, ****ing around with traffic cones on the beach, or staying up to 4am because we were all idiots. (felt bad for the admins of Altis life sometimes). Both new years eves on 2015 and 2016, In the teamspeak filled with stupid idiots who were giggling and your occasional drunk guy, mucking around and celebrating new years eves playing a futuristic military game. Quite honestly, those were the best new year eve's I've ever had. Around start of 2017 or mid 2017 (not sure when), I could no longer play due to my potato of a laptop starting to die. I do remember the times were Ora I believe, used to be the whole ATC person letting pilots know where pads were free and what runways to land on. Along with the admins (Rogmantosh and Fitz) who were on every once in while. Best pilots being SNAFU and SinnerBuzz, myself and Aussie Dave I believe having a tank race to the AO one time too with Ifran flying a helo over us. Any Invade and Annex player knows Quiksilver, as the guy who usually built invincible bulldozers which were that god damn hard to kill, we did try attacking him on his little Island once, didn't go according to plan (he had an invisible Tigris or something). I jumped on the server one time in the morning to find only him messing around with little birds and what I thought was armour? Who knows what it was it's Quiksilver, could be making a tank out of a ATV really. I'm upset to see that some of those guys I listed are rarely on anymore, if at all. There's a whole new list of admins and moderators, but it's nice to see the fellows from 3-4 years ago still kicking around. Thankfully, now that I have time, I got a better PC (after 3 years) I can finally get out of the darkness and start shooting CSAT again. That is until a AA side mission comes up and its practically impossible to get off the ground. Edit: Yes I did one of these last year I believe, but 2018 was a **** of a year for me.
