7 points@Caiden Cons for the wipe from a cop point of view -Although a rebel load out is more than a cops a cop is re-buying his gear approx 5 times a day.. So cops are going to be spending more than earning in relation to rebels. -Rebels can do drug runs and earn large profits, cops only earn money from tickets and bounties which in syd are at $200000 max. -A full economy wipe will mean that SRT cannot get geared up to their current level to aid at banks. -Detectives will have to scrap their entire house database which has taken over 5 months to get to where it is. -New officers wont be able to receive enlistment bonuses as academy officers wont have the money to share -The APD will have to terminate contracts as the APD wont be able to afford them. -An economy wipe will make some officers quit as they have worked hard for their equipment and locker items. -POLAIR assistance will be limited as with a limited bank account officers wont buy a heli over a gun. Don't act like rebels are the only ones who would be affected by an economy wipe. Despite all this the wipe DOES need to go forward, Managers ( @Lotza ) will just need to be very careful how they execute it.

3 pointsI believe an economy wipe would give another reason to play the game. All players on the server grind to earn money until they reach a suitable amount for them e.g. 20-30 million. Once this is reached players stop trying to earn money without spending and focus on spending their money to earn money such as buying guns to a rob bank. A full economy wipe would be very interesting as it would allow the meta at banks to change as the weapons to start with will be of a smaller caliber and civilians, rebels and cops will value their equipment more as it will become difficult to replace. If the money was wiped along with houses you would need to agree on a starting money for all players. I think the current starting money is too low unless the entire economy system was deflated which would make $250000 a very comfortable amount of money. Overall I am in support of a economy wipe.

2 pointsAs a new play that has played for a few days on this server as I just got the game on a sale, playing on this server is a constant cycle of being arrested by cops for petty crimes and fined ridiculous amounts of money to avoid jail time and then having to grind more money only to have it stripped away from you by a thief in a unmanned police checkpoint. I can't seem to make enough money to compete with other players perhaps i'm just unlucky, but at this rate the server is a turn off for me and other newbies out there trying to make a name for ourselves and I think this wipe will help even out the board for all of us. For those who play Rust would know that those who drop the most time have all the stuff to squash the little ones who haven't had the chance to put in the time, its why they have implemented a wipe system to even out the game for everyone. I'm not asking for regular wipes I'm just pointing out that now may be a good time to wipe so that the new guys from the sale can have a fair go at playing on this server and have an enjoyable time while their there. Did I mention it cost me 2mill for a house license before buying a property I haven't even gotten enough to pay for 1/2 that amount jeez!!! I understand why the police do the things they do but stripping me of my meagre wealth, possessions and licenses means I can't afford to travel or have the means of protection to defend myself from much more wealthy and well equipped thieves and robbers and if the police are too busy trying to find an excuse to arrest for "illegal u turn on a patch of grass in the middle of god knows where" then what am I to do a person trying to RP as a law abiding citizen trying to earn some income. I can't seem to decide which is worse thieves camping sites stealing your hard earned cash or cops pulling me over for not for having a vest with pockets while a kidnapping is taking place 200m downs the road. Godbless medics let them keep their ranks if they have them they are the only truly good human beings out there. This is my experience and opinions I have developed as a newcomer to this server whose played a nearly a week now on the server sry if it went a little off topic but I hope you can see what I'm trying to say.

2 pointsOne of the benefits of the server wipe would that it allows us to reshape and mold the server to fit our vision and the communities vision more so than it currently does. The whole thing is simply conceptual at this current point in time and no definitive decisions have been made to whether we proceed or not, what we would be changing on the server and how we would do things moving forwards. You can expect to see large changes in the economy, with items more accurately representing their use and a more accurate scaling in terms of effectiveness of items to their pricing. This would also apply to things such as runs. I also understand that there is a concern that if we were to reset the server economy there would be an imbalance in the favor of the police side. There are no definitive decisions on how to address this at the current point in time. However I can assure you measures would be put in place to address this and create a smoother transition and beginning to all players on the server.

2 pointsTo be fair the way things have been headed kills the playerbase anyway. No new players seem to be able to make the gap from newgame to endgame without assistance. Big clans are all well funded and have everything they need, I feel like a wipe is exactly what 2/3rds of the server needs. You can't keep a server happy by simply feeding the old players and leaving nothing for the new ones.

2 points@Joshua_ I can understand where you are viewing your perspective from but as @Jewbacca said this is a portion of the APD, and some people have limited and restricted their ability to a certain level, we have some what control to mould and shape our side of the APD, training and responsibility wise. But at the end of the day not everyone is perfect and not everyone will listen to advice or suggestions. I completely disagree with a full APD/APS wipe and I am not saying this on behalf of my position in either the APD or the APS, but i am saying this out of a community perspective as a whole, not only will it limit the cop force, but limit the server, the pop will dive for weeks on end and will have a very detrimental effect on the economical side of the server. Linking back to the original post i think what we can bring out of this is; Add more capture points, missions, tasks (ask Lotza mentioned) and after the additions to the server consider a full economic wipe. I honestly do not feel a APD or APS wipe is necessary, as if work is needed in either of the departments management can step in and from what i am aware of the Altis Paramedic Service is having a minor revamp and hopefully will enhance their side of play.

2 pointsMy only concern with this is that while Cops/Medics get to keep their rank and access to gear, contractors and rebels are going to have to work from the ground up. Look how long it took cops to attain their rank, it is the same for how we accrued our money/items. You take away our resources and their implodes contractors, and possibly rebels. As I see it, there are two better options: 1. A complete wipe that includes removing APD and APS ranks. 2. Keep APD & APS ranks, and bank balance. Completely wiping would destroy some of the small, and large groups who actually contribute to the role-play on the server. If we are going to go down the wipe everything route, then it should be wipe everything.

2 pointsSergeant Expression of Interest Note: By placing this expression of interest you are not in-titled to Sergeant and can be denied as well as issued a non-apply period of no less than 1 week. Do not bother anyone about your application, if you do it will be hidden. Name: Jake Callsign: [K21M] Rank: Senior Constable Training Completed By: @surey List all Pub Slot Inductions you have done: Jack William, Patty Roselli, Herbert, XX_Glencam_XX, noahx and Just Finch Why do you deserve a promotion? (50 Words min): I believe i deserve a promotion because i am capable of a role that is heavily contributed between role play and leading. I have been a CO few times and i think i am capable of keeping the communications how they should be and maintaining controlled patrol units that work as a team towards any situation. I know for a fact that i have left and rejoined APD before but things have changed and i have been showing dedication towards APD for the past 2 months or so. I hope to become a good role model towards the new recruits/white listed officers that join APD. I have been a sergeant before (1 year ago i think or even longer) and i think i handled the role to my best capability until i was persuaded to leave APD for some reasons but i assure that it won't be happening again. I plan to see myself Commanding GD at banks/ normal GD patrols. I have gained a lot of knowledge from the cop force within the past year or so. I am active now as i tend to be on every afternoon either doing SRT ops or GD when nothing is happening. Who would recommend you for a promotion? @Brendon, @John, @Cables., @Andrew Authento, @corey.day, @FarmerGeorge98, @Anexuiz, @TonyAbbott, @Tonic, @Slep., @ItzWayz, @Jewbacca, @Maverick, @Boulter and probably more (Unsure).

1 pointBut speaking on Balance, I personally believe the amount of Verona AT Gunners needs to be decreased exponentially. Despite tanks being the theme of the dlc, as soon as you get into an AO, a single Verona kills ya after firing a few shots. @Fitz

1 pointI don't think a server wipe would be beneficial tbh. When I hop on the server, like after a long break or if I occasionally hop on, I don't intend on grinding end on end especially if I only have a bit of time. I'd prefer to have fun, idk, picking peaches or fishing just for fun without having to worry about 'am I making enough money to actually have fun on the server.' An alternative would be just to adjust prices of things and leave the account as they are, or adjust for inflation. Don't wipe accounts of players who have played here for years, because it'd be a rude awakening if someone who hasn't played in ages hops on and boom everything is gone. Annoying at most imho
-
1 pointYou're looking at a top end SRT loadout. I'm talking about people outside of SRT access. (I was also under the impression the SRT store already got a heavy nerf) I pay about 50-60K less than a rebel for a comparable gear set up and then have to spend a bit extra on items I need to buy that a rebel doesn't. So yes we pay less, but we die so much more often and even without dying Sergeats+ have to consistently be buying explosive charges for whenever we capture a rebel vehicle, which averages at 18k per vehicle. A cops income might be large, but it's only when they catch someone, and don't split it with anyone, or give it away. Cops can go ages without making any money, then suddenly make a mil, which tends to cover the costs of the gear they constantly buy or even put them ahead of what they were.

1 pointi hope there is a full server wipe . every single piece of duped gear will be gone
-
1 point@Caiden We understand that Cops will be overpowered if the server will be reset. There will be special precautions to ensure that the Civs will have a chance to recover and that SRT won't camp fields. I've spoken with Augnov and we're still coming up with solutions. If the server gets wiped, Cop and Medic will become VERY popular due to the large amount of money you're able to make in a short time. We'll be doing our best to try and make sure that Civs are able to have a fair start and that cops don't crush them. In saying that, if anybody has any good ideas regarding making the reset balanced from a faction perspective just leave them below.

1 point@Fusionable @Slep. thanks for your replies guys. This clarifies the issues I raised. I look forward to seeing this wipe come into affect, my vote is now a yes. Thanks to all of those who participated in this discussion with me.

1 pointAs stated by Lotza, " If we were to go ahead with the wipe, you can also expect to see some changes to the balance of the server and economy. " When this topic was brought up in the management chat we discussed the obvious need for some balancing changes, which is why Lotza mentioned it in his original post.
-
1 pointIf you wipe it the cops are gonna be the superpower of the server even more then they are now, cause they gonna make easy money camping shit that Rebs do yo try and make money, and there loadouts are half the price of rebels
-
1 point@jizza From the original post, it's clear lotza has taken this into consideration, which is why he mentioned "Server balance changes". Quite a number of the APD officers that currently play (Myself included, even though i've been absent for a while) have already been through 2 cop-wide rank resets. You acknowledge the amount of time it takes to attain a rank and you want 200+ of them wiped? For the first little while, as there was with any reset, there will be a LOT of hard grinding from plenty of rebel, contractor and any cartel groups that may be around at the time and I don't personally think it will implode any groups. From the previous server-resets I have been a part of (e.g when the strayagaming mission file was created and we scrapped the old one), a reset is pretty much nothing but beneficial for the server. It breathes new life into the community, makes way for new addition and allows staff and management to make bigger and more aggressive changes as people aren't attached to 250 million dollar bank accounts.

0 pointsHey Everyone, Following the community meeting a couple of weeks ago and the recent forum post we have been giving consideration to the idea of an economy wipe. So now we wish to gauge the opinion of everyone by putting this poll to the community as a whole and giving everyone an opportunity to vote on it. If we were to wipe the economy, it would be a full wipe, inclusive of licenses, money, proficiency, houses, inventories, lockers and vehicles. You can also rest assured that we will not be making any changes to white listing levels of police or medic. Currently we do not have a timeframe for the wipe as we wanted to look into the impact and pros/cons very carefully before a decision is made, subsequently it will likely not occur for a while. If we were to go ahead with the wipe, you can also expect to see some changes to the balance of the server and economy.

0 pointsThis wipe will be the worst thing any manager has ever done, think about it. Think from a civs/rebs POV. No matter what you say your going to do to balance the server, its not going to be balanced. The cops will give tickets for every little thing, give as many tickets as they can, make up excuses for tickets, cops will make the most money and have the most gear by FAR, and the rebels wont even have enough money to buy a 7.62 loadout. basically this wipe will break the server Also, Every cop will be in favour of this wipe because they will be the ones on the top if it wipes, Please give me some examples of cons of this wipe from a cops POV
