Well, honestly got no clue who remembers me but whatever. I've been playing this Strayagaming community since I bought Arma III In 2015, mainly in Invade and Annex, but occasionally switching to Altis life here and there as a cop, ****ing around with traffic cones on the beach, or staying up to 4am because we were all idiots. (felt bad for the admins of Altis life sometimes). Both new years eves on 2015 and 2016, In the teamspeak filled with stupid idiots who were giggling and your occasional drunk guy, mucking around and celebrating new years eves playing a futuristic military game. Quite honestly, those were the best new year eve's I've ever had. Around start of 2017 or mid 2017 (not sure when), I could no longer play due to my potato of a laptop starting to die. I do remember the times were Ora I believe, used to be the whole ATC person letting pilots know where pads were free and what runways to land on. Along with the admins (Rogmantosh and Fitz) who were on every once in while. Best pilots being SNAFU and SinnerBuzz, myself and Aussie Dave I believe having a tank race to the AO one time too with Ifran flying a helo over us. Any Invade and Annex player knows Quiksilver, as the guy who usually built invincible bulldozers which were that god damn hard to kill, we did try attacking him on his little Island once, didn't go according to plan (he had an invisible Tigris or something). I jumped on the server one time in the morning to find only him messing around with little birds and what I thought was armour? Who knows what it was it's Quiksilver, could be making a tank out of a ATV really. I'm upset to see that some of those guys I listed are rarely on anymore, if at all. There's a whole new list of admins and moderators, but it's nice to see the fellows from 3-4 years ago still kicking around. Thankfully, now that I have time, I got a better PC (after 3 years) I can finally get out of the darkness and start shooting CSAT again. That is until a AA side mission comes up and its practically impossible to get off the ground. Edit: Yes I did one of these last year I believe, but 2018 was a **** of a year for me.

Password: straya Situation: Community Zeus: @Guardian, Using Snohman’s Op Hammertime as an idea template. The Russian 10th Armoured Brigade has deployed in to the east of Altis. They have established several outposts to maintain control of the area, while the US Army desperately repels their offensive east of the main airfield. They have several successive lines of defense along the peninsula, and their naval presence east of the island has ruled out an eastward assault. In order to break the deadlock, Task Force Straya has been tasked with conducting an amphibious landing in the North East of Altis, and advancing south with an armoured spearhead to drive into the enemy base of operations. Mission: Task Force Straya is to complete the following objectives: 1. Clear the Molos Airbase 2. Break the Sofia Defensive Line 3. Destroy the Delfinaki Outpost 4. Break the Ioannina Defensive Line 5. Destroy the enemy’s main base 6. Find and kill the enemy commander Execution This operation will be conducted in a free-reign manner. Personnel are free to attack the objectives individually if they wish. However, group management will be as per standard I&A, therefore grouping up and teamwork is highly encouraged. Intentionally interfering with other teams’ plans will not be tolerated. Control Measures: Respawn markers will follow the unit forward at certain undefined points Logistics: Dress: NATO. Equipment: Individual preference. Weapons: Individual Preference in accordance with the above. Vehicles: M1 Abrams and other US/NATO Tanks will be provided upon landing. Mods: RHS USAF AND RHS AFRF (Russians) will be required Blastcore and JSRS Sound Mod are optional Timing: Group on the I&A Events Server this Sunday 14 April at 5pm AEDT/7pm NZDT for a 5:30pm AEDT/7:30pm NZDT start time. Hey guys, I'm Fitz. I've been playing heaps on the I&A server over the past few months and am loving it! You can tell that the devs have put in a huge amount of effort and continue to do so to keep everything running smoothly. Besides the occasional retard (which is usually dealt with quickly), the other players and the community are great and I really enjoy playing with them. Thanks to some generous donations from @Bang1324 we have the opportunity to upgrade our hardware to the newest generation gear! All services will be moving from i7 6700k's to i7 7700k's, and from Windows Server 2012 R2 to Windows Server 2019. (I'm on the hunt for some i9 9900k servers as well, but the pickings are slim in Australia) We have received some competitive pricing from a new provider, I'm going to trial them until our yearly lease is up for the current servers; towards the end of this month. I'm moving CQC over at the moment, Wasteland and I&A 2 (Tanoa) will join shortly after. To properly test out the new hardware I would really like to have a large number of players on one of the servers for an event. I've requested the I&A team setup a fun event for one of the Tanoa T-Days, so it will be good to see a lot of people there. There might be some steam gift cards for the best players on the day. Once the testing is done I will need to decide on which provider to go with and when we do the final move. The server with Altis Life and Invade and Annex is our primary server, it is a massive pain to move everything cleanly so there will probably be an extended outage for all services reliant on that server.

Given how these need to run in order to be effective, if you would like previously posted ideas to be considered; please consider the points covered in my reply from March 26 in this thread and adjust the previous ideas accordingly. There are some awesome ideas from the community, and adjusting them will help the I&A staff immensely. This will allow for your contributions to become reality in our events. @Snohman's last two mission ideas in this thread are great examples of how it can be done. Any questions, feel free to sing out.
