Look lads, I don't know if straya is dying right now or if people are just off studying but the number of people on straya compared to Darkside has changed a lot to the point where the server looks dead. I really don't like seeing straya like this. I know that straya has its ups and downs, but it doesn’t change the fact that something has to change. The boys and I have been playing darkside a lot now and been seeing SOA, LYNX, FU, ACU and some other gangs playing on Darkside as well. the reason the boys and i have been playing darkside is because its more fun than straya, the rules are better and are fair to the entire playerbase. It's really fun playing on darkside but it just doesn't feel right without the straya community. I think straya can really be improved in multiple ways and feel free to reply to this post and suggest other ways that it can be improved. - Gang affiliation: basically allows for cops to metagame civs tags which is pretty unfire to the civs and discourages actual gang creation and gang gameplay, the boys and I have taken our tags off a couple times just so we cant be metagamed. But i can understand how this can work in certain situations. - Money carrying over to civ: we think this could abolished and the money that you have on civ and cop should be independent of each other. We think that this would create more roleplay situations because cops like @fegget (:heart:) aren't going to be money hungry and instead going to focus on more roleplay situations. We have also asked some members of the community what they think about straya and what could be improved and what are their views about the server as a whole. Also another problem is when our gang (sf) kill just a few cops in sydney. every other cop goes on armoured patrol just for a few civs having a 9mm guns, it's a altis life roleplay server not North Korea life. One more point is that cops and meta your name and arrest you for something your gang member did, this shouldn't even be a rule in the first place as it just gives cops a massive advantage over civs, especially civs in sydney as you could be unarmed and you gang member gets arrested for dumb shit then the next thing you know your arrested for standing there unarmed. +1 to alot of comments, i feel that Striders should come back but cheaper like a cheap option to the 500k + Ifrits, because we don't have hunters, i think Ifrits Striders and Qilins would be a good fit anyway i like alot of the comments and i feel that old KOS was pretty good but CP's are in good location there, the economy wipe is a stupid idea, if they wipe that i'll just stop playing to much of a grind to get back up to anything half decent, i feel i've seen alot of Reds comments on other suggestions and have agreed, there is alot of things to do on the server, i feel the only changes i'd make are, 1. Add new Robberies (Which they are doing) 2. Add Convoys and maybe a Counterfeit Cash Dealer and Counterfeit Cash, to add another element of roleplay 3. I think a more in-depth jail system like seperate Cells etc, and to have a reason to put a Quote on Quote Prison Guard system and to only do so with a certain ammount of Population or something and to add new Prison Guard Uniforms more Roleplay and some activities to do in jail to get bail or to cut sentences for example, (Picking up Rubbish, Scrubbing the Walls, etc etc.) and as i said for the people who would be worried about like breaking out of prison you can only do it with a specific ammount of cops on or if a Prison Guards signs on duty, also make it so you can get inside of the Prison and make it look like a Prison. 4. I think they are doing this already but Nerfing things that need to be nerfed like Tazer,Knockdowns, and some rebel things like Prices etc. 5. Not trying to argue with the people who are wanting to argue and not wanting to improve on the server, ignore them and answer once to all of the comments, and make it a bit more of a formal letter, act like you're either management, senior management or what high role you have on the server. 6. Have a public test server where you openly share information and updates and do them more often and do it on the Update server first to see if it works and won't break the server, make it a normal Altis Life copy from the main but just add extra things that are updated. 7. This is my last comment, i feel that the main is very West Based i feel that there should be some more civ action or just plain roleplay on the East Side by adding some things you can't do on the East Side, and making the other Capitals a bit bigger like Sydney, i also think maybe a possible Border in the middle of the map or before every main city so you can't leave at will all the time, more RBT stops and Checkpoints for Cops and more Civ stuff. I could go on and on but i really feel these are the main things i've covered. Alot of issues i've seen also with Members of the SRT Team about there lack of Roleplay i feel that it can be the case sometimes just trust in Kat to fix it ?

Yes, the server right now is very repetitive there is nothing to do there are absolutely no Objectives for the Civilian/Rebel side, Myself i have been trying to make it better over the past god knows how many years i have been staff i have seen all sides to the server which at times it has been horrendous and amazing. I have gotten a fairly reasonable and well known Developer know as @6IX and if he does see this he might give you's abit of information that he is thinking of doing for the server, Im sure some of you may know him from doing multiple Lakeside for PsiSyn's server aswell as running his own community EXP him and other straya gaming developers/staff are probably coming up with idea's themselves, Yes they are slow asf with releasing updates and the reasoning behind that is they have very little time i presume and are busy with things IRL so if you are good at Developing stop crying over the forums and actually go apply (which is why im trying to re-apply for a staff position) and be useful instead of posting shit that isnt gonna get recognised YEAH? The Rules are just... They shouldn't be the way they are now i will agree with you there, I cannot count how many grey area's there are just in 1 section which i do think they need to focus on after implementing things into the server and coming up with rules that actually make sense but that is my opinion if you disagree feel free to argue the point with me in Team speak 3 or discord. I believe the server is not in a good state atm, But there is no need to have a crack on the forums if all who post's a response to this thread and say you want the server to progress than dont go bragging about every other gang and what server they play on now and actually start posting your opinions and playing on the server when it is on its bad days aswell as its good days, Like myself i have been in this community for almost 5 years now and i have not played more than 115 hours on any other server this server is good im addicted to it and i aswell would like to see it progress and succeed and im sure everyone else would like to see that aswell which it should so give it time and be patient. or rename it to team death match which is exactly what it is currently except cops have the massive advantage

id also suggest add the looting of corpses as a lot of time people are being robbed for gear they don't give it up but if they know they will die and loose it anyway they are more likely to give up their gear and roleplay the situation

if straya had more different stuff to do maybe there wouldn't be so many people at syd bridge

I personally didn't mind how the server was set up before the wipe. Just no navids. Brisbane bank was fun, shady westy was amazing, crafting on rebel was good and looked better IMO, gang bases actually gave good shit to the people who owned it and made it worth buying or fighting for. Server was always popping with 70 civs as its average daily number and there was a good cop to civ ratio most of the time. Hope this update improves things and adds good shit.

About the night: The Kahoot will be hosted at 7:30PM AEST on Saturday 06/07/2019. The date is to ensure that I'm not caught in a staff meeting or anything else. Due to limitations with Kahoot hosting and seeing the question stream, it is recommended that you use either a second monitor or a separate device to watch the stream where the questions are being hosted. The Kahoot consists of 40 questions. Five general StrayaGaming questions. Ten Altis Life questions. Ten Invade and Annex questions. Ten Wasteland questions. Five staff-based questions. Voice communication will be hosted on TeamSpeak (ts.straya.life) in the Community Lounge 1 channel (located underneath the lobby/joining channel).
