    The new Arma 3 Contact DLC was dropped last night, featuring a variety of new assets, terrain, factions and single player campaign. You can find a great overview of the new DLC on the official Arma 3 website. In the early hours of the morning, @Fitz switched our rotational Invade & Annex server over to the new map. Please let an Invade & Annex staff member know if you experience any bugs on the new map. All of our other servers will be updated shortly in time for the weekend.     Server has been updated to 1.94 (Arma changelog) and changes have been made to support the new Contact DLC. This includes adding the new Livonia map to the rotation on our second Tanoa/Malden server. Map voting has been enabled on our second server. Players can use #vote missions to vote for bringing up the mission selection screen. 65% of players must vote for it before it will work. Included in this update is Quik's new Active Protection System for armoured vehicles. This applies to both enemy AI and player vehicles. So long as there is a commander in the vehicle (player or AI), the system protects the vehicle from incoming missiles. There are 5 tiers of vehicle protection, Strider and Nyx having the the lowest level, MBTs having the highest. Each tier has different ammo count, reload time, and chance of failure. The blind spot on normal vehicles is the rear of the vehicle, for tanks, it is the rear of the main turret. Fixes and addition of new vehicles will come in over the next week. View full devblog

    Everyone knows what day this is... and the massive meme it is... But because of the release of "Contact" and its related topic, I am suggesting that we have a massive server event for Friday, 20th of September... "Storm the Fences" I think if the new map can be used, I'm sure Zeus and the mission designers for Straya Gamiing Events could come up with something? Players being OpFor and AI being BlueFor... and a massive military installation. Doesn't have to look anything like the actual base.... What does everyone think?
