Here..we....go... Survivor: Altis Life. Hosted by Spectral and Roger. An immersive RP experience, a series of knockout events, Tribe vs Tribe, till only one is left standing. Till we are left with, The Survivor. $250,000 entry. Prize Pool will be topped up to a nice amount, and the event will run regardless. I will cap this at 20 people, first in is in. This is a RP Server Event. Areas of the map not obstructing general play will be excluded from entry for participants. Anyone Trolling will be given a 7 Day Ban on the spot. I grow tired of planning and executing these and people ruin the experience. This one will be BIG, plan around having hours to commit to playing this. Everything you need will be supplied. Instructions will be clearly given and swiftly. Details to follow. Claim your place below!! Details on time and place to be locked in.

So i have had been enjoying the server for sometime now and have been enjoying the server events cause they add a good role play aspect to the server which makes the server more enjoyable and fun to play so i thought id give some ideas for maybe some admins to look at and take into account if they want to use these ideas in future. Altis Life Tours - To show the community of altis all of it beauties, downfalls and and some places where history has been made in altis, Tour could be arranged but the use of helicopter just to grasp the full extent of altis's beauty or Car Service where they get the full down to earth tour if they want to be up close and personal with there tour. /Heavy Roleplay/ Prison Breakout - For this idea people who want to participate hand themselves all in for crimes they have committed but once they are on the inside all the prisoners either have a plan for a breakout or take the prison back from the warden, as hell breaks loose the prisoners could either have a choice to escape or take the prison and fight there way to the armory and the hold the prison against SRT/COPS. Bumper Cars - For this event idea admins could set up an arena for which people could enter there vehicles and basically ram each other until one vehicle is left standing, not to sure if this event could work cause of arma's vehicles being destroyed quite easily but thought it was a good idea. Thank you for you're time

The amazing race? Medic style? try to get at least 5 medics on, preferably Medic and up. Set up stations or areas over the map. Kavala- start with a hummingbird for each contestant- proceed to melbourne and have the contestants revive/ hand in first aid kits to someone. Once the medic has given a first aid kit or revived the patient, proceed to get into an offroad/suv head north to Athira and pick up a patient who you have to take back to melbourne hospital and perform a kidney operation(hopefully have admins spectate to make sure they dont do it on the spot or stop somewhere). Once back at melbourne hospital, jump back into a hummingbird and go to salt flats and pick up another patient and head to Brisbane hospital where you must perform a roleplay situation(you will be given details as you pick up the patient, e.g- broken legs, gun shot wounds) a chief medic will be there to assess the roleplay and if done properly you pass otherwise try again after a 2 minute delay. Once completed the roleplay first one back to kavala hospital, lands and puts their helicopter away wins? Salt flats- Have the police add in a gun fight scenario for medics to follow the rules and listen to the officers who you can take. $200k entry and teams of 1. Must follow proper medic rules- Combat situation and so on. Use empty vehicles to minimise cost if crash/die. If a fellow medic dies they must respawn and they are out of the race. Not sure if this makes complete sense, im half asleep. Add anymore ideas or fix it up a bit.

Trialing some hardware upgrades over the next week. Already have tweaked the CPU of the server, and may--at a bit extra cost--use a high performance service, depending on how we go. Testing for next release build is well underway, with a target for tomorrow (thursday) 12PM release. A main focus of the update is on performance and increasing some mission flexibility and preparing it for Apex expansion and Tanoa, as well as responding to common requests and complaints from the past 6-8 weeks. A brief change log will be posted here when the release is live, with a more detailed change log available to server supporters in the [Area 51] section of their [Home] menu.

Value For life Rule (VLR) Value For life Rule (VLR) added to the main rules set for Altis Life. But not in affect, will be in full effect soon. This rule has been used but was not added in the the master rules when first written. This rule has always been a general understanding with players when playing Altis Life Server. Now the rule has been written and added to define VLR. Value For life Rule (VLR) Value for life rule means you must not get involved in situations that you're not involved with in the first place, you must value your life above all else. If you put yourself in a dangerous situation it's your fault. If you are killed not following instructions, loitering around areas after you have been told to move on, entering combat areas you're not involved with, it will be considered breaking Value For Life Rule. You can not 3rd party any situation. If you're not involved in the RolePlay, you can not get yourself involved. Those undertaking actions that fall outside valuing their life may forfeit any claim to RDM or Compensation via the Forums. If you are found to have charged into a gunfight unarmed trying to loot something, or acted in a way that goes against the valuing of your life in game; you may forfeit any Comp claim and may be banned. Give real thought to your actions in game before trolling or abusing this rule. If you place yourself in harms way willingly and with no thought to your life or the lives or game play of others you may be forced to Comp them, and still be banned for your actions. Valued Life Rule states “basic human need to survive will govern actions by player, not a desire to cause problems, or accumulate items/money in game” VLR means everything from standing in the middle of the road, to provoking Cops into killing you, anything that acts against the basic human desire to survive can push you into a bad situation Comp/Ban wise. Be warned! Please read the Altis Life Rules for more information.

I would have the task as a hand in, If it is a revive there are things you can do to exploit a faster revive as well as it being based on frame rates it is more advantageous to those with a faster pc. Perhaps use an area other than the hospitals that way you can park more than one bird there. other than that the idea looks good man.

Perhaps recruiting A few more dedicated moderators to wasteland that are available at different time zones and times throughout the day will not only help with fairness of gameplay but one can be dedicated to the job of resetting this every few days. Don't know about that indie FPS though : P Regards. Unit_3397

------- At the end of this post is a link for all that may of missed, was unable to attend to or just want to even just want a re-watch and re-cap of what happened at the ANZAC march on the ALTIS server. I will say it was absolutely amazing to experience and the speech given was beautiful from Lachlan. I have lost family members in Gallipoli so ANZAC is extremely special to me as well as quite a serious event. I did march in the early morning as well as wanting to witness it in-game and capture something I don't want to forget from the community. SADLY, if I didn't cut down the footage to that much you'd all be watching a video that's gone 15+ minutes which I didn't want, I wanted to really show importance on the speech given as well as the minute silence. I do want to thank Admins,Owners and just the community itself for rocking up to an event and hardly trolling it. (Except at the end...) There's a lot of other options of views I wanted to do for recording this, especially aerial. But due to timing and rushing quite a few things to get a spot here and there and not missing it I was unable to get anything too spectacular, but regardless to that I quite like the footage I got. Can't wait for other footage to show up. ------- CLICK ME FOR THE VIDEO

What an awesome milestone to reach! Major props to @John Paul and our other lead developers, who spend the spare time they have, day-in day-out constantly developing our servers to make them unique and enjoyable for everyone to play on. Thanks guys!

Some good hard work going down to make the Servers fun, dynamic, smooth running and fair to play on. All in all, stronger everyday. Proud to be a part of it all. #sgnumber1

You have my +1 With a server as large and established as S.G Wasteland, we could most certainly do with more frequent restarts. I'll take this up with JP next time I see him.

I cannot fault you there, you are not wrong. But, it also takes 1 second for that giant red circle on the map to show up when someone walks into any area. Which then gets bombarded by thousands of bullets and explosions... killing everyone inside. Being able to farm an entire team of people like that is just lame. And it seems to make a lot of newer players rage quit. This screenshot looks like you, doing just that. Don't get me wrong, I am not hating on you. You do you, that's why you bought the game. I just really don't know how you cannot see reason in what I am saying. I know asking for fairness and balance in an online game is a challenging task, but hey, someone's gotta do it.

I dont believe zones should be providing feedback on enemy movements at all. Reasons being - yes we all get that dick that drops 70k and griefs these zones or someone dropping mortars on it incessantly perched next to his ammo truck. The lack of these zones would actually encourage greater defensive teamwork from players - thus making it more tactical
