Wednesday, 18th May between the hours of AEST 00:01-17:59 we are going to enable for use the following addons: ADR-97 Weapon Pack Be aware that the addons will be enabled for client use and not a required addon. Players without the addon will see only an invisible asset. As such it will only be available during off-peak hours. Some small tweaks to the server overnight. Stable Build: [ADDED] Custom AI garrison positions for military cargo houses/small patrol towers/cargo HQs. This will be expanded for more custom positions in other building types. [TWEAKED] AI garrison system, to support the above. [TWEAKED] Enemy vehicles at the AO now scaled to player count. [TWEAKED] Enemy no longer reinforces with AA vehicles (no more Tigris 3km from the AO!). [TWEAKED] Enemy reinforcement vehicles no longer all come in at once. [TWEAKED] Enemy infantry were patrolling a bit too far out of the AO. They will still patrol outside the zone, but will tend to stay more inside. Hi All The roles we play and difference between factions will always be argued. Its a system put in place to create a RP environment. IRL the government/COPS, SRT what ever you like to call it will always have it geared in there favor. If you look at it on a population basis it needs to be this way. Otherwise Anarchy would rule and there would be nothing to govern. Risk vs Reward in my opinion why would you gear up to fight police with such expensive gear, for what? there is no monetary value to it. REBELS Play smarter, don't wear rebel gear and you wont be hassled. Striders / Illegal items draw attention in Sydney there is 95% Map not patrolled you can use for that. Come into Sydney for more than just bank or killing Cops. RP a market sale for discounted items etc... drag racing etc, then when pulled over or caught RP it. You can always PAY the ticket. When you have been caught and arrested RP it rather than the salty "just send me to jail" COPS should be able to do a traffic stop, without getting Declared on. COPS Have a back ground story, mine is a kebab shop owner. I and the captains have been reinforcing to "ALL" the importance to apprehend the rebels alive rather than dead. I don't care if they have killed 2 cops "IF" the situation permits us to, use team work and non lethal. Process minor crimes on scene, we don't always have to take them back to PD. Please do not post negative or pointless comments. So, Cartel, a niche lifestyle. For me it seems like it would have an appeal to organised and social players, it opposes the Rebels, plenty of scope for gunfights, good earning potential if you Police your fields. In the edit of the rules Cartel gets some new abilities, powers they can invoke in dealing with Police. This can be brought forward and discussed. Due to either lack of planning or flat out abuse of the trust of players/staff and rule breaking a gap exists for a strong cartel to emerge. To this end I am recruiting. This new cartel will be a side project, I will not be in it but it will have my attention. I will be looking for small gangs or social lone wolfs keen for a group to play in. Its time to get the RP and play that Cartel allies and is designed for up and running. I won't be dictating actions of intruding but I will be helping and liaising in my Admin and Police roles, holding each seperate. Cartel Control drug field. Repel attackers/thieves. Tax people. Run drugs yourself. Cant rob bank/fed but can respond. If fed stopped they "reclaim" the gold. Good ability to counter Rebels and be tactical. Lots of action. Patrolling, ambushing, gathering Intel, RP as ruthless. Great RP. If played well can get wealthy. Cartel gang base lays unused. Can be given over to new cartel as incentive. There are two Hummingbirds you can use for side missions or you can ask a pilot to take you. There is no need for someone to be taking up a pilot slot and only flying their buddies to side missions. The Aviation rules state that a pilot must not play as infantry unless they are waiting for repairs or an evac is on the way for them (<5 mins). Also, your friend wasn't banned for playing as infantry while in a pilot slot, he was banned for abuse and disrespect towards staff, specifically the following conversation:
