    During the police meeting, it appeared that there have been a few misunderstanding regarding the Court System and Warrants. Warrants must be obtained prior to conducting a house raid, unless officers have immediate probable cause to search that house. They can only be given out by a Judge or Commissioner (Found in the Judge Lounge channel list, in the Judicial Government Section) NOT MEDICS!!! Evidence Required: This announcement is here to educate everyone on what can and can not be done through a warrant. To receive a warrant for a raid, officers must show beyond a reasonable doubt, that what they are looking for is in that house (if a warrant is issued, all houses are affected). This could include witness accounts, digital evidence, or forensic evidence placing you at the scene (e.g. you did a successful fed, none of your members died or got caught, but officers saw you in the kill log - this is where they can roleplay 'DNA'/ballistics etc.) If you have been arrested with the gear used in a crime, there is a reasonable doubt about further gear inside your house, and thus a warrant would not be issued. Regulations regarding the execution of a Warrant: Police must announce to the person under the warrant that they are executing a warrant (E.g. If they are not at the house, they must establish phone contact first). They must state that they have a warrant, and what the allowances of the warrant are prior to enacting the warrant. Failure of the officers to declare this will lead to illegal searches, and the warrant becoming null and void as its conditions are breached. On the other hand, failing to allow law enforcement to execute a legal warrant will result in greater powers awarded to officers, such as permitting officers to issue fines, arrest you, use force, or seize all items (even legal items). It wants to prevent officers being able to raid any house they please, but it also wants to prevent notorious criminals from escaping justice where officers do not have immediate probable cause.     That moment you log into a store and everyone there has no friendly markers... Well... Good thing I have my godly charisma. "Hey... Guys... My friendly markers aren't showing... Can you see my BLUE tags"? "No"... I start sweating at this point, eyeing off the 6 guys in front of me. I can hear more on the roof. "You may need to re-log, I can't see your markers". *Goes back to store clerk*. YES! at this point I have them all completely convinced. For 10 minutes I plan each of their demise. A charge here, a mine there, shoot that guy, hide the body... Then it all fell apart. I hear the squeakety squeak of a wetsuit behind me. "You wouldn't be lying would you Dak"? Shivers run down my spine as Cougah's hand runs down my backpack for my medkit. Immediately shot and stabilized. Sigh. It was so good. The plan had worked so well. I swear if Cougah wasn't such a chaotic evil, I might have predicted. My godly charisma simply can't match unpredictable.

    A few months ago a dream of starting anew was created. This idea was shared by both members of the community and by the staff team alike; and now finally, thanks to the dedication and hard work of my crew, we are almost ready to unveil our "starting product." For those that haven't been informed in game or somehow missed interpreted the title of this topic, we are incredibly close to activating our 1.3b version of wasteland onto the main server. So who wants little FAQ? Q: So whats changed? A: Stuff... Q: Can you be a bit more elaborate? A: Well, as it currently stands, our version of wasteland is 1.2b, and considering 1.2b has been around for ageesssss, it pretty much means the major part of our mission file was riddled with outdated code and features. [Less so in recent months thanks to various updates] Q: What does 1.3b bring? A: A3wasteland 1.3b is a template designed by Agent revs team that we have 'suited' for the strayagaming community. For further information about what the template brings please visit their website or when we roll the new update, check the diary entry "updates" for a list of changes made via his team. Q: Any changes to the map? A: We have brought over most map features to our 1.3b version, however, you should now find two new markers, yellow and purple. Yellow representing player storage, and purple representing vehicle storage. Q: Is there any effects that playerbase will feel that might be considered negative? A: Unfortunately yes, while 1.3b brings optimizations and new features such as storage and vehicle locking, from what we can see, there will be one major down side for everyone, and that is the current database isn't coming with the update. To put it simply, consider the update a 'clean slate', starting anew, the beginning! (bans still hold.) Q: Why isnt the database being utilized for this update? A: There's a new database in town! Q: So will the server now have 64 exe capacity? A: Yes, the database has been setup for x64 capacity! Rejoice! Q: Can we use sounds mods with this update? A: Currently, the only sound mod compatible with our server is dynosound 2.0. If you wish to utilize this sound mod, please download this & this from the steam workshop and select them when you start up arma. Q: Can you give us an ETA on when the update will drop? A: As it stands, the updates is as close as Wednesday the 19th of April; however as we finalize the update the date could be set back by a few days. Summing up New database new stuff (parking system, storage, locking etc...) better FPS (hopefully ;P) dynosound capability x64 exe capability SPEND YOUR MONEY!!!! This update cuts it down to just a few to test if animations are responsible for our stability issues. You will notice some actions now share animations (eg: surrendering & restraining), this is due to the default altis life animations not being a viable replacement for this test due to stability issues of their own.
