Hi Lads, I'd like to say thanks for everyone involved in this year those who staffed, donated and enjoyed playing the servers. Without all of you we wouldn't be around. Together we have achieved more then I have ever dreamed. For one we are still up and running. This year my community goals were: Prizes for all of you. & Server upgrades. Next year my community goals are: To give back to the developers that spend all their time creating these servers. New servers - Could be anything from an Arma 3 Exile to Space Engineers. Bigger & more prizes for the community. More server upgrades. And for staff helpful training guides. Next year will bring bigger and better things and as we grow as a team we will grow as a community. LuckyB33f

Unfortunately, the release of results were delayed until the 3rd of January for multiple reasons. The Results are: 1. The Constitution of Australian Altis was voted in with an 87% majority. This means that on the 1st of January 2017 Australian Altis became a federated state. Until a time where the government has created legislation overruling old laws, current laws shall remain in place. 2. Brutal [Altis Life Administrator] was voted into Governor General with a 64% Majority. 3. The Following people will be taking up positions in the Executive government (either by election or as the sole candidate) Prime Minister- DJ_JoozBrorg Deputy Prime Minister - Jonathan Waters Secretary of the Cabinet - Bevan Gluesniff Treasurer - Jay Attorney General - Lotza Minister for Immigration - Lucas Gluesniff Minister for Public Safety - Martin Minister for Employment - Stezza These new ministers are to be sworn in by the Governor-General at the earliest convenience. The Prime Minister or the Secretary of the Cabinet should now move to organize the first Parliamentary meeting Nevetos is also appointed Chief Justice of the High Court of Altis At this time there is no chief justice of the Federal Court, one will be appointed at a later date Thankyou, Jack Fire It is now up to the government of Altis to continue the roleplay with cartels, Police and Civilian Contractors and possibly change the roleplay in Altis Forever....

If you would like to become a white-listed Police officer you'll need to have two referrals from a Sergeant or above and then once you've obtained said referrals you will then proceed to make a white list application which can be found Here, If accepted you will have to undergo a interview with two inspectors or above. Again, if successful you will then be promoted to Prob. Constable. Hope this explained things.

Philosophy, love it here we go... There is a place named Auroville where money does not exist, yet people are still happy to live there. But you probably aren't after an answer which is unrelated to normal 'western ideals'. You can read an entire article written by Australian Unity, the makers behind the Australian Unity Wellbeing Index, on this question. But here is my take: While you do need money to get your basics going, it doesn't go much further than that:- A roof above your head, some food, essential items, etc. These material things really don't increase happiness, but are somewhat necessary. Its sort of the foundation - its needed, it sustains everything on top of it, but no matter how fancy it looks, its still a foundation which you cant see. It makes no difference. Having money (or fame) attracts girls, yes. But, not the kind that you really want. Run out of the money (or fame) and they all go running away - let them in too much and they'll stab you in the back. Sure, that isn't representative of everyone, but it does happen much more than expected. If your after a meaningful relationship, you wont need money. If your after some fun for a day and move on, just go to a bar. What makes you happy are the things you spend most your life on. Your job, and your relationships (if any of those apply). If you don't like your job, you probably wont be happy. If you love your job, you'll be happy. One last thing on online personalities. No-one who wants online attention will show you what terrible things there are in their life. They will usually only show the best parts, and the most enjoyable. The same goes with married couples - yours isn't going too well in your eyes, but all your friends have such good relationships. 4/5 times, they will be thinking the same thing with their relationships. It is all a matter of perspective. Conclusion, it can buy happiness. But, it has a small limit and there are other aspects such as work and relationships (With other humans, or pets) which influence your happiness a lot more.

In the interests of testing Dave's post, I'll be running the following for a while without changing anything else: -high -nosplash -world=empty -skipIntro -nologs -noPause -cpuCount=8 -hugepages -maxMem=3071 -maxVRAM=7191 This is my rig, for comparison of CPU/GPU: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/travestyau/saved/svLJxr If I see this improve my game (Just now I was running 90+ fps, but there were not many on the server when I did), I will advise here. Thanks to Aussie Dave for posting this, and others for commenting. Now, to wait for the x64 builds of Arma3... P.S - If this DOES fix my fps bug issues Dave, you're getting a big wet sloppy smooch (No tongue! :P)!

So I tried it. Didn't make any difference at all and my game crashed (3fps bug) twice in 2.5 hours. Max memory use over the entire period was 3.2GB. Do you have any non-anecdotal proof that it makes a difference?

Good luck with that. There are hardcoded limits, doesn't matter what you put in. "1024 MiB is a hard-coded minimum (anything lower falls back to 1024). The maximum is influenced by your operating system (any value over the maximum will be reverted to this value):" 32-bit Windows + 32-bit game: 2047 64-bit Windows + 32-bit game: 3071 Once 64bit Arma is released: 64-bit Windows + 64-bit game: (physical memory*4)/5 https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Startup_Parameters

Never heard of somebody robbing a bank irl and stopping people joining in after a certain time. One thing you have to realise is that it is not soley the PD's job to push in and kill you all; it is the rebels job to escape. You may complain about crafting, but it is meant to be hard and a lengthy process because of the power you then possess. Somebody with a Navid can easily disable a cop hunter and kill all of them inside without them being given a proper chance to fight back. Everything is good where it currently sits imo. Fed is a high risk high reward job, it's not meant to be for any old gang to just go and rob, it is meant to be the 2nd largest job that you can do on the server, so if you do not prepare yourselves with the right weaponry and tactics then it is your own fault. If you have killed a cop and they come back that is NLR btw. Imo its the rebels fault if they have not escaped with the gold in time for more backup to have arrive. Rebels steal and PD protects.
