Hi all, Just wanted to introduce myself - I'm known in game as SirPetri and I'm new to ARMA 3 (I haven't played any of the previous ARMA games either). So far I've only played on I&A because I enjoy co-op games, especially when they're objective-based. I just turned 31, I'm a guy and I enjoy a bit of casual gaming when I've got the time to spare. The Straya I&A server is perfect for that. I like to fly helicopters but also happy to just go shoot something with my rifle if there's no pilot slots available. See you around! Petri

Hello fellow Straya Gamers. As you can see by the title I'm looking for a few players to run with on I&A (Also started playing King of the Hill recently, very fun) Bit about my self, I am 21 years old, like to play FPS/ Third person games (Shooter, RTS, also like trying out new games), I like to play I&A seriously but not too series if you know what I mean and would like to check out some user made scenarios from the Steam Workshop. Just doing a poll if members would be interested in a 'Project Argo' event hosted by me or strayagaming. 'Project Argo' is a free prototype game you can download and test from Bohemia Interactive. Hey guys, recently been exploring the advanced Zeus mechanics with inspiration from a YouTube video on the creation of war machines. This video is of my maritime war-machine i created, making the submarine map item into an active AI unit. hey man if you want we can start a regular get together on I&A we all jump in a channel and just play a bit tactically. if anyone is interested we can get this going and just do AO's and side missions. maybe even a cheeky zeus mission if tracuer or myself feel like doing one

Here are my list of suggestions for wasteland. 1. Implement a better scoreboard. Something along the lines where players can see their total overall kills, deaths and a k/d for the server. Wasteland is a huge deathmatch and i think that something like this would be great as players might work towards a goal. The number displaying the total team members next to opfor e.t.c is also a great idea, would help with team balancing. 2. Mortars are starting to become an issue again as the price has dropped. Now, this wouldn't be an issue IF gun stores didn't show when people were active in the area. If you remove the active area so the enemy cannot see if an enemy is at another gunstore, then its fair play. Since you can see when an enemy is active in a gunstore they just get constantly bombed. I think mortars should have a substantial price increase and admins should limit the amount that can be used at one time. i.e. 4 opfor using mortars is just ridiculous. 3. Players should be limited to 2 un-maned stompers at a time. I think this explains it self why. 4. Implement pilot slots or limit the amount of jets allowed at one time. say 2 per team. Unless you are in the pilot slot you will get ejected from the jet seat. 5. More starting money and gear. Wasteland is a deathmatch it shouldn't be focused around money so much. I believe 5k starting would be a better start as it would allow a player to at least buy a gun, vest and backpack. Maybe get rid of the pistol and implement a rifle again. I think players should also be able to spawn in with at least binoculars and a vest if you want to stick to the starting weapon being a pistol. 6. Vehicle locks. This would get rid of a few problems where team mates steal other peoples vehicles and/or hop in and waste ammo.

Hi NS24, From my experiences on the I&A server (Semi-regular player), most players tend to 'Rambo/Lone Wolf' the Main Objective ("AO"). Sometimes groups do form, but usually you get your loadout, bundle into the nearest transport aircraft and then deploy at the LZ at the AO and fight your way to the HQ. Sometimes it can be different depending on terrain and situation, but that's usually how it goes for me. The squads in I&A don't really get used outside of specific roles (Pilots/Medics/Snipers/Ironside Etc). I think you'd enjoy engaging in some of the Side missions if you want more squad-based activities on I&A. These occur regularly (Usually spawning 15 mins after the last one ended) and require more coordination and communication than the AO gets. There are a few players who gravitate to Side missions when they occur (*cough cough* Hamish [TEF], Kyroe for example *cough*), so don't be afraid to ask in the blue Side chat if anyone is headed to Side mission. NOTE: There is a Side Base located NE of the main Base where a Hummingbird and Offroad spawn for Side teams to arrange their own transport. If you do end up headed to a Side mission, do try to make contact with other players at Side or on their way. Side missions usually require multiple players to complete, and the time-sensitive missions require coordination to enable maximum time to complete it's objective. The Rambo/Lone-Wolf approach doesn't usually work at Side missions, but when a group of players come together on Side it's a damn good feeling (Especially when the reward is something awesome, like a Mortar Boat!). Good luck on the I&A server, don't be afraid to jump on our TS (ts.straya.life) as some players working together will be on there to coordinate. See you round Altis!

Wasteland due for a bank wipeout Yes you have read right. Its a new year, February will be a new month, and your wasteland team has deemed it necessary to start anew. F&Q What does this mean?! SPEND!!!! Spend like you've never spent before! For any money you have left over after the wipe is forever gone. What date is the wipeout to occur? The date the bank wipe will occur is to be decided at a later date/ later this month What if a player hasn't been on the forums or ingame for the past month to see this/ the warnings? We are afraid that is just too bad. (Should be more active to see these things ) Please note. any comp request in relation to this wipe will be denied. What if i withdraw and hold onto my money? Think again, we will have a unfortunate surprise in store for you. Whats this about a cap reduce? Along with the wipe, our bank accounts will be set to hold a maximum of 2.5 million instead of the current massive 8 million. We will be monitoring this change to see how it affects the overall server experience for both long term/ Veterans & new comers. Why?! Hi all, My names Ben better known by [-PAC-]webnebular or webbie on I&A. Im an Aussie thats lives in FNQ. I love this server I dont like the idiots so much but hey you get them everywhere. Im an excellent pilot with 100s of hours flight experience. Im also love to snipe but am pretty happy doing any roll that I am designated to do and always use excellent comms. Im apart of a larger clan PAC http://www.pacificgamers.co.nz/ and we do have our own server but we dont get the numbers that we see on I&A. We play a mutlitude of games but mainly AAPG.
