The Forum Update As promised by Red today we're bringing you news of our newest updates to the forums to bring our website a modern appearance and format. These changes will be going live on the evening of 29/07/18 We can split the changes into a few main sections that I'll briefly talk about below, Forum Restructure We're adjusting the structure of the forums so that it will be easier to navigate for everyone and more logically laid out, making it easier to find exactly the thing you're looking for. The Altis Life Hub page We have custom made a page to showcase all AL related content on our forums in one place, It will be accessible at https://strayagaming.com.au/altislife , once all of these changes are live later tonight. Below is a screenshot of the page The page shows summaries of AL section posts, important updates, our AL events calendar and a summary of core AL stats including a live player count. The big green join altislife button even opens your game and connects to the server directly all automatically! The most significant change for most users will be the implementation of our new theme that I've been working on for the past few weeks. This theme will help modernize our website's appearance. If you notice any bugs or graphical issues please let me know So i can correct them! The new theme will become the default, but fear not if you prefer the current theme it will be left enabled as an optional theme that you can select from the theme drop-down seen below (For a few weeks maybe): Here is some previews of the new theme: Profiles: Writing a post: Forum Frontpage Comments: Tag Colours/Post Highlights To make everything more consistent we will be making all donator tags a consistent colour In addition to this we are going to be adding emphasis to posts by lead staff, management and forum staff to indicate people who are posting with authority on the forums.

I'm not sure what happened after we changed to RHS, everything kind of went to shit. I said we should change since the save was corrupted, but then the save was suddenly fixed? What happened there? We also shouldn't have done a fresh reset when our commander couldn't join (taiga didn't have RHS) I don't think people understand that this gamemode is different to I&A, you can't just storm a town, kill everything that moves and it's yours. You need to do civilian missions first before you can take a town. I also think we need to slow right down with zeus interference, down to about 0, the gamemode has counter attacks and such built in.

Name: Nuu Rushean Player ID: 76561198125633509 Date of Disciplinary Action: 22/07/18 What Disciplinary Action was placed against you: Permanent Detective Blacklist Who were you Disciplined by: Farmer George Reason for Disciplinary Action against you: Playing on Rebel without taking a day of leave. Why the appeal should be accepted: I believe I should not be blacklisted from Detective because the punishment I was given did not match the punishments that are listed in the Detective Protocols. And because I was not punished the same as another Detective who previously did the same thing earlier. About one week before my punishment was handed out, another Detective was found to be playing in a rebel gang without taking leave, he was punished for it however he was simply just given a warning and given some restrictions on what Detective Ops he could do for a week, then a day or two later he was caught again playing rebel without leave, still not even a blacklist for him though, he was just kicked from Detectives and given a demotion from his APD Rank, he was then blacklisted after he leaked the Detective Database to his gang members. I don't understand why am I being given the same punishment as someone who played on rebel without leave twice even after being punished the first time and leaking the Detective Database to an entire gang. This is not me trying to get back into detectives right now, I am however wanting to have the opportunity in the future. It is also not me trying to avoid or undermine what I did wrong, I fully understand that what I did was wrong however I do not believe it is worth what I got. Any other information: I did not make another account to avoid being caught, I had the second account beforehand and I wanted to put it to use while also having a completely different account with no money and items. Hopefully you can believe that seeing as I have been honest with everything so far.

StrayaGaming Antistasi As some of you may already know, StrayaGaming now has an Antistasi server! If you didn't already know what the Antistasi is, Antistasi is a cooperative Player vs Environment gamemode - much like Invade and Annex, but more intense. You fight as a resistance to a much larger force. The gamemode requires strategic and tactical thinking to ensure overall victory. Just remember to edit the mission file to make the AKs, Mosins and their ammo infinite spawn on the arsenal AND attempt to change the AAF to GREF. Both official and community versions use GREF as Independent, and it'll make the early game more balanced as we wont have MRAPs wrecking us at the start with basic weapons.

@bouda118 my reason I want to remove striders is to encourage infantry combat which im know most people prefer to strider combat. Another benefit of this that people who come from other servers don't have to learn the strider tactic and can get involved mucg quicker.

Well, it's easy getting tokens and money, get 30+ kills each restart and you start memorizing what you need to do to get kills and then you just get lots of tokens,. Easy as pie

Interesting. I understand you would like a (n+1) teambalance rule which would ensure that teams remain even despite low numbers. This isnt a bad idea, id even encourage it to rid the server of n.balance complaints. To be honest though, numbers dont matter. People learnt this a long time ago however they need a reminder. A small veteran indie group can destroy both teams despite only being 4-6 strong. #skillbalancing Tanks: strap multiple 1k satchels to quads and blow them to hell. Cheap, highly effective and satisfying. Drones: alamut drones at rearm location. If u have money, a 40k gryphon will destroy all drones and tanks. A small price to hear your enemiy's salt in global. (My second strike) Who were you Disciplined by: Cabinet Reason for Disciplinary Action against you: Sent a declaration message to a gang while they had a hostage, which lead to them getting killed. Why the appeal should be accepted: I believe the strike I was given was unfair due to the fact that I was merely listening to another Sergeant's orders. First off, I was unaware that they had a hostage and had declared it to the police, I was either not in-game or alt-tabbed when the dispatch was sent and was not told by any other police or CO about the situation. Second, I simply just followed the other Sergeant's orders, we were doing a PolAir trial flight and ran into a rebel Pawnee with two suspects inside, The pilot told me to send a dec to the Pawnee saying "This is the APD. Land the helicopter and get out with your hands up for an inspection, failure to comply may result in lethal force" Once I sent the dec, the Pawnee neither landed nor flew away so no shots were fired, the pilot sent me a message saying "yeah one sec mate" so I told the side gunner to not shoot, the Pawnee landed but wouldn't get out, the side gunner then opened fire on the Pawnee killing both inside. About a second after the side gunner started shooting the two in the Pawnee, I was sent a message saying "Hostage dies is you engage", but it was too late because the Pawnee had already been taken out. I do not think it is fair to only punish me because I was the one who sent a dec, I did not shoot at them or order the dec to be sent yet I was the only one punished or even spoken to about the situation. Any other information: I was also not told about the punishment before it had been given to me, which breaks protocol 15.21 & 15.22, and so I woke up in the morning to a two-week blacklist from the APD, a demotion to pub slot, a permanent blacklist from Detectives and accusations of being a "filthy snitch" and leaking the Detective Database.
