    I agree with Red. Unfortunately, the jets are just not made to fit on a map this size. This is a scenario that happens on some other servers. Tanks, Friendly AA & a support leave base. 2-3 choppers head out with troops & drop them behind a hill, or at a respectable distance as to not be shredded by AA. The troops head in with the AA being a high priority. The choppers either have door gunners or are escorted by a gunship (rockets & cannon) in case there are some random AI in the chosen LZ. From here the attack methods become divergent, depending on the armours' travel time. Either the troops take out the AA to open up the skies for closer CAS support & logistics, Or the armour rolls in & takes out the AA & proceeds to take out the vehicles in the AO as well. YES, it takes a lot of coordination. YES, a lot of the pubbies on the server are "special". YES, it's difficult to set up. YES the 3 poor SOB's that only fly jets miss out. BUT! It's mad fun & a server can be trained to act as if this is normal. You just have to make it normal, just as we have with our current ruleset. NOW.. Not to put a dampener on this topic, I mainly started this post for a look into a change in chopper rotation. The Jet comment was a throw away because everyone knows I don't like them ? . One thing I'd love to add to the changing roster that I only really remembered this morning was to have the small ammo crates loaded with standard NATO ammo & FAC's rather than random crap that we don't use in the field. This would make it better to be able to do logistics runs for the guys. Maybe even in the future to get rid of bergans or, heaven forbid, add in stamina! Again creating a need for the symbiosis of pilots & ground ponders. Even on low pop times, they can be lifted by anyone in the little bird. Anyway, Merry Whatever you believe in. And I really thank you all for you're input here. It means a lot to the future of a good server to debate these things.     Can a similar way of teleporting to side from base get added to the FOB seeing as the only way to currently spawn there is to have been killed, requiring you to run out of base into a field and blow yourself up, which doesn’t even work half the time because of Robocop.

I believe i should be UnBlacklisted because now I am aware of the rules of SG and i apologies for the mistakes i have committed I am asking for one more chance to be unblacklisted.     G'day all, We have some new and modified rules , these rules are been put in place to complement the new robbery additions that have been added in the most recent development patch. - The new Convenience Store is a low tier robbery which is aimed towards Sydney slickers and lower ended gangs, the robbery rewards a small sum of cash and accessibility to the purchasing of some limited items that may enhance performance. - The AGL Office is a head office for the leading company 'Agolar Solar', this robbery is a middle-high tiered robbery which consists of close quarter and vehicle combat around the vegetation of the solar towers. The robbery rewards a mediocre amount of money. If you have any suggestions or have found an unclear/grey area please notify Altis Life Senior Staff immediately. These new rules will be effective immediate as of the 20th of December 3PM AEDT, on the Thursday 3PM restart. (TODAY) Added: 9 - Robberies 9.1 Six Police officers must be online to rob the Convenience Store 9.1.1 Ten Police officers must be online to rob the AGL Solar Office 9.5.2 Convenience Store has a cooldown time of one hour. 9.5.3 AGL Solar Office has a cooldown time of one and a half hours. Modified: 9 - Robberies 9.2 You must declare on the Police when robbing any of the gas stations however, robberies (Convenience Store, AGL Solar, Westpac Bank and Federal Reserve) are KOS on all cops involved. 9.3 When a robbery is hit off, all declarations which include the robbers or police are called off. 9.4 Any hostile action done to either the robbers or the police responding to the robbery done by an unrelated gang/third party will be considered RDM. Two gangs (Rebel/Cartel/Civilian) cannot commit to a robbery at the same time. 9.5 All robberies (Convenience Store, AGL Solar, Westpac Bank and Federal Reserve) all have cooldowns before they can be robbed. 9.5.4 Declarations for all robberies only go within the immediate area of the robbery, combat in areas deemed unreasonable may be seen as a rule break. With exceptions with Snipers within 2km of the robbery. 9.7 Gangs must rob the banks for the robbery itself and must roleplay an escape once the robbery is over. They can’t wait around for the pleasure of killing police officers. This will be seen as Fail RP. 9.8 Touching off a robbery and running away for the benefit of baiting cops or annoying other players will be seen as FailRP. 9.10 - If you leave the server or die for any reason during a bank situation, you cannot return and engage in the situation. (This includes aborting/kicked) 10 - Hostage Rules 10.2 There can only be one hostage ‘employed’ during the robberies of the Convenience Store, AGL Office or Westpac bank (no hostages for the Federal Reserve).

    Hi All, Here's a solution to the topic of CAS Jets to CAS Helicopters is that both do well at there job. i have listened to many arguments on both sides from my time on the server and i feel that this would be the best solution. before we start I like to fly both the Jets and helicopters so i hope to come at this argument from both angles. CAS Jets have the capability to quickly fly in drop it pay load and be out the other side of the AO in a matter of seconds, they have there ups and downs as the single pilot is required to watch for AAA, find their target and fly the jet all at the same time and having a higher chance of dodging AA. Whilst, CAS Helicopters lack in the ability to fly through the AO at speed, they make up with the ability to precisely drop massive payloads and deal with multiple targets, they lack the ability of armor and dodging AAA. All the CAS Helicopters if it was the Blackfoot or the Kajman they both can easily be brought to the ground by AA. Especially the Blackfoot which is made of 'paper mache' and can be brought down by a simple HMG or armed qilin. In total, both assets have have the ability to replace each other in different areas, though it in all comes down to the player and what they want to fly. I propose a simple solution to this topic, when a user loads into the fighter pilot slot they are present with a computer that gives them the option to either select AA Jet or CAS Jet. simply add a option that gives them the option to select CAS helicopter. By doing this would increase team work on the server as if they select CAS Helicopter their gonna need a gunner (AI: take alot of skill to efficiently gun with, and id still leave available for those who want). They still need to be called in by UAV or Infantry on the ground. Now as for the AA Jet, the Helicopters could never replace them they its role can be filled in by and infantry and would be if it was necessary. you see at the moment on the server due to us having Jets infantry don`t need to carry AA launchers or drive the cheetah as they have a Jet. but if they were put in a position on needing to actually carry a launcher to deal with enemy Jets they would. This would again bring more team work onto the server. Thanks and please leave an ? if you agree or an ? if you don't
