Hello Strayagamers, Due to the following reason/s it is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the shutdown of the Conan Exiles server. Unfortunately this server has not seen the player count that we see on our other servers, this being because of the large amount of servers that have also entered this game before/ at the same time as us and not as many people have bought as we thought might have. Due to this fact and because we have seen it before in the past with other servers we have decided that it is time to pull the plug. We have however released a new string of BlackWake servers and they are booming with players who just want to live as pirates. We are always looking for new servers and I will be personally keeping an eye on the Conan Exiles community and if I see more people getting it and less servers around then I will work with the Head Leads to see if there it could be an option. Maybe when the game is completely released in 2018 (so they say) there will be more need of Conan Servers. If you have any ideas of servers that you would like StrayaGaming to release then please get in contact with the community management team. I am especially sorry to On3nut and Gizmo for staying with us though this and putting a lot of time into the server we hope to see you join our community and maybe play some of the other games we have as a community. Thanks and Best Regards, Yuri - Ex-Conan Exiles Manager

The Wasteland staff have discussed it and, we are comfortable with the current arrangements at this point in time and as such, will not reset gametracker. We are happy with the current arrangements and levels of player efficiency since the bank wipe. Not ruling it out later down the track though.

2 Things here: 1. ALRS now has a permanent bot thanks to Jack Fire. We want to know what music you would like to be put in to listen to, keep in mind at the moment it has 217 songs so your songs may not come on often. 2. @WickedGamer57 has come up with the idea of a new Ad's system. Gangs, cartels or civs in general can create their own ad's for us to have on our station to promote whatever you are advertising. Rules for this apply though. The ad's are strictly roleplay (this doesn't mean you can't have the odd joke in there though). No self promotion out of Altis Life & Videos can only be a maximum of 30 seconds long. If you would like to have your ad on ALRS please send an MP3 link to matbu7 on Teamspeak.

As of the 20th of March, an entirely new ruleset will be introduced to Altis Life. On this day, the old rule set will become completely void and the new rules will be in full swing. The new rules are virtually the same to the old rules. Just a lot shorter (1000-2000 words instead of 15,000) and less grey areas. The rules were rewritten and restructured with the hope of removing grey-areas, reducing the limits on role-play and making them a heck of a lot easier to read and understand. - S.G Staff

14/03/17 Changes: Added light prowler to carpark. Spiced up the customise inventory area. Added some lighting and extra decorative items in various places. Restricted the Sniper class so they can only use sniper rifles. Fixed GL smoke not being deleted at/around HQ. Vehicles driven/flown into the spawn area are now automatically deleted. Removed Caesar BTT side mission reward. Few other small tweaks.

There are very big changes to the cop force. I guarantee you that I won't put up with cops in my dept (Melbourne) screwing around. The he party is over. We're all here to have fun, yes, but when you're on cop, you follow cop rules, cop orders, and cop protocols. people that screw around will not be cops for long.

Well done to On3nut and Gizmo for their efforts, no one can fault them for trying to make the server successful. It's always a good idea to try new games and servers, with the inherent risk that it may or may not be successful. Like Yuri said if the demand is there later maybe the server will reappear. Do not be discouraged, the diversity of StrayaGaming is one of its strengths and your efforts contribute to that.

+1, if you really care about your stats you have on the server you can contact a staff member who can give you all the details on your PlayerID which is far more effective since gametracker tracks each name you use and doesnt add with up with Clan/group tags.

Well pretty simple actually, recently there was a small segment of players who would use powerful assets to dominate the battlefield. These players would use a lot of money they have obtained to constantly use these powerful assets such as Jets and control the map. Furthermore leading to a loss of players due to ragequits as they were just unable to combat these assets. It was decided that to resolve this issue the money would be wiped and then missions altered to make it much harder to obtain larger sums of money, preventing people from going on large spending sprees with powerful assets. With a fresh wipe of gametracker you are able to compare player efficiency and the overall difference made by the fix by the original statistics to gauge an understanding of the effects.

Hello Of course there are existing mods that provide client-side changes such as JSRS and Quicksilver's mag repack, however I discovered a new client side mod that makes explosions in Arma 3 look better. Blastcore Phoenix 2 is a 32MB mod that enhances smoke and fire effects in Arma 3 and only requires CBA (1MB) to be on the server to function. Other users who do not have Blastcore will not be affected, similar to the effects of JSRS, while making the experience for those crashing in the heli's of (Shit) pilots more realistic. On a serious note, this would be a neat addition to the server to make the Bergen-Special Purpose fest a bit more immersive. Cheers

It would clean up the kill feed a bit, which is not a bad thing. I also like that it doesn't show a bunch of teamkills when a Pilot gets shot down with troops onboard.

It also displays kills per minute, hours online and total kills. This often leads to more competition among players. After the recent wipe @BulletL wants to see how the economy changes have effected these stats. E.g. has kills increased or decresed, have players that relied on vehicles(me) kills increased or gone down.

It shows individual players hours online and a server population graph... how does that show the differences in gameplay?

Altis Life v5.8.1403 Release Date: 14/03/2017 Size: 16,489KB Notes: You may need to restart Arma 3 to download the mission file Items marked with * have a related segment under “Details” Change Log: Added - Full mission obfuscation* Modified - Fixed long wait times on “Preparing client” Removed - Encryption on hidden scripts Details: Full mission obfuscation: In Arma, obfuscation is used to protect a mission file from thieves. The form of obfuscation we use also allows encryption to protect all scripts inside. The encryption takes no time at all for your game to read so you won’t notice any extended loading period. We have disabled the previous form of encryption on hidden scripts (introduced v5.8.1393) as this obfuscation method protects those scripts too. Report all bugs via the in game bug tracker. If you have a suggestion, please send it to @Envy. Thanks for playing StrayaGaming Altis Life!

I don't see a problem with cops having cheap gear/weapons. It's relative to how much money they earn periodically and how much money they earn from doing their jobs, i.e. impounds, tickets, and arrests. Sure you they get a nice bounty that's worth more than a million, but that's a rare occurrence and only one cop out of 15 or so online gets that money. Civilians who are doing runs makes a lot more money than cops do and if they choose to spend 300k on gear/weapons then that's on them. Don't complain about cops having cheap gear/weapons if all they do is try to kill cops whether it be for their gear or for the sake of killing cops.

To whom it may concern i am deeply apologetic on my behaviour and anything that ive said i would be deeply appreciative it if we could just put it behind us and move on. I dont believe that it needed to blow out of proportion but i understand that Mitch has the right to do what he wants on how he feels but us having a silly fight on a forums post is very childish of us. I would just like to say sorry for the boys ive kept up and wasted their time. This is not a good representation on who i am as a person IRL and as a member of this community. xox

@Gotenks Remove my post if you believe it's flame, Just putting in my 2 cents. Everyone has preferences, everyone has what they enjoy, and everyone believes what they believe, but your post is mostly just opinion, and mitches post is mostly fact. SRT is indeed NOT called every 10 minutes. Cops need the armour they have, purely because there is usually a 1:3 or a 1:4 ratio of civs to cops, the chance of you getting decced on/rdmd etc is actually huge as a cop. From my 10 months of experience as cop, I can confirm this. Cop and rebel are undergoing a huge change, and EMS is getting a touch up soon. I understand your point of view, of EMS being fun, but everyone has what tickles their fancy, be it cop, civ, rebel, cartel, whatever you want, and obviously people will be biased based on what they play, it's just a fact. Mitch is not sitting on his "mighty head". He added to a discussion in a reasonable and calm manner simply stating facts from his side of the fence. + If you play so much EMS, your real concern should be how fast people are dying, and where they are dying. Not how they are dying and who they are dying to. Also, my question to you is if cops should have cheaper gear, where should their main income source be? I've gone a day or two at a time without arresting someone, and the higher the rank you get, the more stuff will cost you. A full set of kit for me costs about 250k, and I'm usually down a mil or so after a day of play. Like I said just my two cents.

I really like the idea off this. However I think it could be changed more to suit roleplay better. If you look at another server, for example. Arma 3 Project Life is a server where you only get pistols as a GD cop, and civs must craft their weapons or buy them of other civs, the medics have proper vehicles and always perform roleplay with injured. Cops don't just get out of their car and RDM someone because they robbed a candy store. As it states on the police database - ALL POLICE SHOULD USE NON LETHAL FIRST IN ALL SITUATIONS CAPTURING CRIMINALS IS EVERY OFFICERS MAIN PRIORITY I do see Altis becoming similar to this and I think we would all enjoy it heaps more At the end of the day if you are here to kill people, head over to wasteland or I&A Just my opinion, cheers.

@DroolingOnU Its a RP server, it 100% should not be bringing people into our community because of the guns we have available. make it that cops have 556 and only SRT get MXM's and rebels best gun the rebels can get is an AK 74 and leave it at that. the fact that we can use LMGs and AK 12s is silly when you think of it from Life POV. the server has become way to KOS, Sydney is a shit show most of the time and then people get upset knowing that things are going to change with guns. I'm looking forward for when this server has proper RP and i think most people would agree.
