5 pointsAs I said I was very pissed off and made this in that moment and now realise such shoddy arguments, in retrospect I should've left the server at that point. Thanks for the clarification @InfamousNova and @Travesty and @InfamousNova's beautiful grammar. Sorry for me rant and I will learn to adapt to Zeus in the future..... ...... And no, I will never join Cancer Life.... Ever

5 pointsYou asked for this. I think you meant to say "I got very pissed off at what I perceived to be the incorrect usage of Zeus on the server." We don't determine what is correct use of Zeus on the I&A server, the server staff do. I recommend you adjust your thinking. Server staff use Zeus to run missions outside of normal I&A objectives to keep the experiences unique and interesting on the server and avoid it becoming a repetitive and stale experience which will likely drive away players. This change in circumstances adds to the excitement of the server, especially when the opposing forces deviate from the normal rules of engagement we're used to. I personally enjoy when this occurs as it requires new thinking to deal with, and is akin to the opposing forces changing the battlefield parameters. If you wanted a standardised experience maybe a Single Player campaign or scenario is better suited for you. Refer to points above, sometimes an opposing force will throw significant forces into an operation to change the odds in their favour. It doesn't happen that often, when staff take the time to Zeus in opposing units and ramp up the difficulty in the server we should appreciate it because it became more difficult. Server staff will use Zeus on the server as their time allows. I think it would reduce the amount of Zeus activity on the server if a minimum player count was enforced and it should be at the server staff's discretion. I disagree. You don't have to 'fix' something that isn't broken. Adding this extra effort to server staff using Zeus on the server will likely lead to a reduction in staff wanting to do so, which would be a disappointing outcome. Server staff spawn in units with Zeus to influence the battle. This would make that action largely ineffective. Again, sometimes opposing forces don't play by the rules. Learn to adapt. I would counter that you consider scaling your expectations of server staff to your preferred difficulty level. Again, you asked for this. TL;DR - May Zeus forever punish your butthole for your insolence, git gud or switch to Altis Life scrub.

3 pointsHey guys. We all know the KOS open for when there are 30 civs on, one big problem with the 30 civ limit is the fact that i rarely see 30 civs. currently its 1:22 PM in SA and there are more police than civs on a Saturday. Now i dont know about you but i would expect a Saturday would be where Straya is at its peak but lately there has been no peak, now how is it fair that we have a shop that we cant use due to the 30 civ limit. if moving it is out of the question can we at least change the limit for the shop to open. Kind regards Jacob Richardson.

3 pointsyou can fly every helicopter from the co pilot seat if theres less than 20 players on myself loving the hummingbird this seems like a bad idea. plus using the logic of not enough seats you would have to restrict the hellcat aswell because it has the same seats. if you really need to get to the side mission ask a pilot to take you out. they're usually more than happy i dont see how this is an issue? just pick a heli and get in. if there ratio is like that then the pilot would probably leave immediately anyway you cant have dedicated pilot groups because of a bug with the vtol's where the pilot cant be in the group to fly it. also teamspeak is free so you should have it since most arma communities use ts. setting it up is very easy. if not google is your friend. a second whitelisted server would just split the playerbase. while yes we get a lot of players on at night if we opened a second server there would be barely any on either server which is less fun for everyone

3 pointsJust a quick suggestion in relation to this. Maybe force a unique skin onto the side hummingbird to help identify it.

2 pointsHello all, Recently I got very pissed off at the incorrect usage of Zeus on the server. Some points include: 1. The spawning of exterior jets after Radio tower has been eliminated. 2. The Mass spam of helicopters and other powerful vehicles randomly into the AO. 3. The usage of Zeus during low population. Ways to fix this may include: 1. Considering the state of the AO before spawning enemies in. (I.e defence spawn enemies in | Start of AO limit enemy spawns | End of AO provide a little extra challenge) 2. Spawning enemies outside of the AO (2-3km away) then sending them in. 3. Spawning enemy air targets when the tower is still operational. 4. The scaling of zeus usage to server population. Opinions are welcome!

2 pointsThe past couple of months we have seen a lot of changes come about on Altis Life. Their have been numerous changes made to the server to help bring about new positive changes. We have come a long way in making Altis Life a different experiance to what it was. People have worked day and night to make sure the content was delivered in a timely and stable manner. Their are still some bugs here and there (Thanks Bohemia) but improvement is made almost every day. Cannot thank the people involved enough considering the amount of effort that was required to get to where we are today. The community has reached out and put forth ideas that not only have had a positive effect in game but have built a solid base to continue moving forward. The APD has a complete structure now in place and is run by Wex. The handover was only days ago. The time and effort involved in the writing of all the documentation and working through every procedure rebuilding from the ground up for many was a slow but methodical process. What has become of the new APD is a strong structured environment in which people who are new or old to the community can see positive change. The balancing wasn't easy for those involved and i believe they are still developing new strategies and techniques to further push the envelope in terms of development. Our civilian population has grown, we have many new players and even older players joining us to help in further developing Altis Life to make it better then what it ever was. Its great to see people helping new players find there feet and provide assistance where necessary so that they can enjoy there experiance. It would be great to see some of these new players migrate into the already established Rebel gangs / Cartels. This is where you guys who are looking for potential new members can recruit those that are new to the server and show them what a great community we have. The staff are more the happy in assisting those gangs in doing so. Events of of late have not been very frequent if at all. We are going to run regular events that benefit all factions, again we encourage you all to post your suggestions on events so we can encourage more interactivity not only in a roleplay sense but create unique experiances that can be shared by all and become not just a rare thing but regular with changes to how the event itself unfolds. Over the coming days i would like to sit down and have a chat to you all. You cannot be productive if you do not talk to your community. I would like to hear from you all, my goal presently is to further buff the Rebel populace and have cartels recognised again. There have been alot of new rules put in place for Cartels that have made for positive changes, if you havent read the rules on Cartels as of late i would reccomend having a look. You guys can Rob banks now! Civilian Contractors, those of you who are currently Civ contractors are doing a great job. Ive noticed a few contracts that have been put in place and it seems to be healthy. I would like with the other staff to again sit down with you guys from our last conversation that was conducted with Martin to hear further feedback on how you guys are going. Again i would like to predominently sit down with the Rebel Gangs and discuss how we can all adopt a strategy of forming a stronger presence for Rebel Gangs so we can bring back the rivalry and competition between Rebels. Im all ears. If you post in this topic it needs only be constructive and honoust feedback. Any post that is off topic or contains irrelevent information will be hidden. The purpose of this is not to start a flame war or people fighting. Its about working together as a community to make things better. We have an AL Manager that will be reading over this topic and listening to what everyone has to say. We will try to respond to everyone as timely as possible. We want your constructive feedback, not tomorrows meme. Thank You.

2 pointsHow about 2 Praetorian locations, one at the 22 end of the median strip between the runways and one at the 04 end. Then they are in open terrain and most effective and they are protecting servicing/taxiing aircraft. Priority for AA shouldn't be the infantry or vehicles, but the grounded aircraft.

2 pointsBring it back... CHERNARUS Who could forget the lazy days of summer, killing noobz in Electro at the power station. And what about the waterfront battles in Cherno!
-
2 pointsUnless you mean another requirement for this, it would still just show up as a blue hummy on the map, which is whats being looked at to see where it is when not found parked at side base.
-
1 pointI tried this with Brid this afternoon, seemed a bit too OP. Although it looked very cool I've moved the Praetorian to the centre of the runway for now. See how that goes.

1 pointI'll add this as a Side reward and see how it goes. I can imagine some 'less-informed' people flying it into the AO and dying instantly though :/ Ideally, if this heli is on the way, people in AO would get the injured to a safe location for evac/revive, but that's probably unlikely.

1 pointits only shooting up? planes arent gonna be flying directly at the AA from the horizon i agree with this praetorian is trash but cheetah is OP 2 praetorians in different locaitons would be better

1 pointif you want to play the same thing over and over without some sort of challenge or mystery then sure we can stop doing this never done this myself other than a defend. ??????????? most if not all of us already do this. i even go the extra mile to getting tarus to lift in ifrits we do do this but every zeus is different. maybe you make a zeus mission thats based around air again why?

1 pointWe aren't interested in selling the mission and, as far as I know, have never been. We don't want to split the playerbase. This is the same reason why we don't have Tanoa or Malden or modded I&A. Australian playerbase is too small for it. There is no message at the moment. The required reports doesn't scale so needs to be adjusted for times where player count is low. Yep, this can be done pretty easily and is a good idea. This is probably a bit difficult to determine. Sometimes the side missions spawn right near the AO as well. It is possible to create an ingame channel just for the pilots, but the TS requirement makes it much easier to moderate. We can't tell if someone has muted their VON ingame but we can tell if they have muted their speakers in TS. TS also has the waiting for pilot slot and waiting for CAS queue. With certain restrictions being implemented over the next month, this should become less of an issue. Will do. Although the map is what's looked at most to determine which is which, it's still a good idea.

1 pointSounds logical to me. As a Pilot I wouldn't really think "Oh, the Little Bird is gone so I'll go take the Side Bird" but then some people don't care about the rules. I'd say making that a solid rule (Enforced automatically if possible?) would keep Side Bird for those missions more. As to the original issue of abuse of Pilots because of flying Little Bird to AO, you choose the heli and the LZ. They don't have to like it, they can go another way. I would say, on the flip side, being the only (Or one of 2) pilot on the server means you really should take something bigger if there's enough players to justify it. But if you've been playing that heli for a bit then suddenly people get salty, it's on them to approach that appropriately with you instead of abusing you.

1 point2 Ways you can do this.. A Taru Medical.. NOT the slung pod but the connected one. This would have 1 of 2 ways to use it.. Insta Respawn when someone is loaded in, or when it lands at an active FOB (YES a use for FOB's!!). The other is simply a medic & Pilot in a littlebird, or a medic & a HEMTT reviving people in the field. A way to enhance this would be a quicker revive if both are present within a radius.
-
1 pointI think that the main use of FOBS shouldn't be focused so much on the infantry, But Armor. Have a BOBCAT spawn there, so the tankers would be inclined to head out with the knowledge that they can get support for the vehicles. With tanks using these bases more, the smaller vehicles could be spawned here for light troop transport. Not so many that the pilots would be out of a job, but a few for quick dashes, maybe with a slow respawn time so it's not abused. (I guess a ticket system for total spawns there could be implemented as well) The idea of logistics runs as side missions would be a blast too. Though the way things stand we'd have to use HEMTT's due to the fact that the slinging on the choppers is broken. Another side mission could be simply that with the activation of the base the enemy has been alerted to our presence there & begin a counter offensive, that can range in strength from a few irregulars to a few Kajimans airlifting troops in support to armour, with CAP on station. If the enemy over run the FOB they could set up there themselves with AA to hamper our lads until the threat is dealt with. (hopefully not with just one jet/UCAV bombing it to hell as happens in the current AO's.) An Additional use.. M*A*S*H.. Anyone who is downed can be loaded in a vehicle & brought to an active FOB & be revived even without a Medic Present. Whether that be a jeep, APC or heli. A way of encouraging this would be to add the "I'm in pain" yelling/moaning sound to downed soldiers so they can be noticed more & lengthen the time before respawning.
-
1 pointI've actually done this before with a few pilots, I've managed to sling bodies in the helis and take them back to base to revive them, kinda fun when you are carrying them in a firefight and the pilot lands without being shot down, quite satisfying
-
1 pointmaybe just a dedicated area for a medivac chopper? (requires a pilot + recon paramedic)
