G'day lads, Just for a bitmore fun, myself and a few other members have built a small Clan on Clash of Clans. We are attempting to build upon and progress this clan, this is a informal invitation to everyone. We are looking for some star players, whether your town hall 2 or town hall 11 we don't mind. Have a go at it, it's a free game so get cracking. Normal server rules still apply, keep it appropriate, if you don't like it leave, at the end of the day the clan is for partial socialism and general fun. Hopefully we can extend out in the future to Clan wars, double xp weekends and more, if you would like to stay posted on these particular events join the Clash Club; here If you're looking for the clan search 'Strayagaming' and look for the green/white checkered icon. Cheers

I can see the helpdesk issue now. P = Police, S = Suspect, H = Helpdesk P: I turned my sirens on at peaches field! S: I didn't hear them. P: Yeah but I turned them on so therefore it's a dec H: S, He's not wrong. OR P: I turned my sirens on at peaches field! S: I didn't hear them H: If he didn't hear them the dec isn't valid. Instead of it being lights and sirens are a dec, if we really wanted something like this it should be RUNNING for x amount of time is a dec, say 20 seconds. This means police can still do traffic stops, but if you run and get shot as a result of it, it's your own fault. This also makes pursuits about 10x more dangerous for police, and will force officers to consider who and when they pursue. I also agree with @FarmerGeorge98 - you should NOT be shot whilst getting out of a vehicle after a chase unless prior declaration has been sent and you are not complying with the terms of it. If you have evidence of this occurring myself and the rest of the command team would love to see it so we can deal with it appropriately.

What you are asking for would require a level of technicality in the rules which would he hard to enforce along with possibly opening up grey areas if not introduced correctly. The current system of light & sirens not being a dec works well for pulling people over as Farmer said but in the situation you described above both parties should dec if they wish to shoot at the other. I personally agree with the point that it needs to be a cleaner system for decs regarding police chases as currently it is one sided with the cops shooting it is seen as fine (but really it breaks the rules) and when civs do the same thing it is deemed as RDM or Fail Dec. The current status quo is not fair on civs and is something the AL team could look at fixing to improve the experience for civs. @Lotza @Pezza Just food for thought.

@Wex You can't say that people wanna have fun and that they'll go where gunfire is... Then support that monthly post where somebody gets killed by cop and suddenly all cops are shit?!?!. When you tell them to go away, you either get 1 of 2 Responses "Or What" - Trying to initiate a Dec so they can kill the cops "THAT'S A DEC FUUUKKK" - Then they go and kill the cops The fact that some Civs just go around in the city and get crossfired at the pure fact they hate cops and want them to get in trouble or just wanna kill them. This goes back to the same issue which I've bought up multiple times the trust between Civs and Cops. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you're around gunfire, personally you deserve to be killed. And if you get annoyed at the crossfire.. If you're unable to look at your own actions and only look at the accident on the other side then there's something wrong. If you stay around the area where there's gunfire there's a reason it's called crossfire and there's no issue. You can't have a go at the cops for killing you if you're unable to see where you are and what you're doing. Especially at the Event on Straya Day where people would shoot then run into a crowd. You'd think that if you're truly innocent then you'd do 1 of 2 Things; Tell the cops who it is or leave the area. That's all I've got to say without making an essay. Pezza

You do realise people play on the server to have fun, not to simulate real life. Unless you've got something better to do, civs will always follow the sound of gunfire because they've got nothing better to do. If you don't want civs to be there, use your words. Tell them to leave and let them know the consequence if they stay around. Tasing and restraining them without any verbal warning is going to piss them off and they're going to start abusing you for it. The only people you should shoot at without a verbal warning are those with their guns out or the ones picking up weapons off the floor.

So many times have I been chased by police and crashed or stopped, only to be shot at instantly when they exit the vehicle. So much so to the point I was convinced if a chase has initiated that it warranted a declaration. Tonight as I crashed (lol), I got out of the vehicle and began firing at the officer chasing me, only to be claimed as RDM'ing and punished accordingly.... Anyway I think once sirens have been used in a pursuit. (not a general stop/pulling people over). An actual pursuit, it should be considered as the police's declaration. I dunno just seems silly that if I'm avoiding them, I then have to turn around and dec, when they can/do shoot at will when exited the vehicle.

Everyone one complains about cops being trigger happy but I think it's less of them being trigger happy than it is civs wanting to kill cops, thus they're all on edge.

Hey Mate, Making sirens a declaration poses a few different issues. 1. It would allow players another method to bait cops into a declaration to kill them. 2. We would likely see an increase it gunfights between cops and civ 3. People may misinterpret and kill cops thinking they are in dec and it would be deemed RDM. 4. Sirens are also very glitchy, you may think they are on when they're not, or the other party may not hear them Cops shouldn't be tazing you the moment you get out of your vehicle unless they have already declared on you. They should allow you a chance to get out, holster your weapon (If you have one) and then talk to you or whatever they need to be doing. It should not be an instant taze/restrain because you have been in a small pursuit for doing 20KM/H over the speed limit.

Ok so I'm not taking sides between civs and cops. @Caiden I am awear that some officers also do not value their lives which needs to be addressed. I also do not believe that crossfire should be used as an excuse for killing civilians. I myself use force as a last resort and so do a lot of others. yes there are some trigger happy ones. But that is not my point. The fact is that civilians need to take into consideration, that if they enter or are caught in a situation like this, it is there decision and need to accept the consequences. whether that be their death or arrest. Sad thing is if they get killed or arrested they start saying that they will report you to helpdesk or command. I'm not saying it's ok to kill on sight. weapons should be a last resort. personally I believe knockdown should be used 24-7 unless you are pinned within an inch of your life.

Not complaining about cops who kill people in crossfire due to bad aim while going for their intended target. I'm complaining about the cops shooting people for minimal association or for simply being in the area without posing a threat. Also I'm not supporting any posts, if anything I'm neutral between cops and civs. Just a while ago someone made a post about cops being shit at roleplay and I was defending the cop in that situation. Crossfire should only apply when you kill someone while shooting at your intended target or if they have a gun out in an active combat situation. It shouldn't be used an excuse to shoot anyone who runs around in a gunfight. How do you know civs go around in the City to bait cops? Or is this just pure speculation. If you do have evidence of people doing that, there's this rule. Also this goes back to my advice to cops of using their words before their guns. Tell people to leave and the consequence if they don't. If you start shooting first, they're going to be dickheads about it. Probably the worst example you have given. The cops on top of office building had a vantage point. They had more than enough time to load in knockdowns or to back off and avoid being shot at. If you look at the videos they weren't even aiming the guy with the gun, they just killed everyone down there without even aiming at their intended target.

No..... a simple traffic stop where we have to use our sirens to Roleplay should not result in a dec, and the people who shoot at you with out even saying stop or we will taser you shouldn't be doing that, if you have video evidence take to a command team member and they will deal with the person and assist with any problems you may have.

Good stuff, we are happy to accompany all skill levels, if you need a hand just say something over the clan chat and we'll try help you. Just be advised you may have to work through a tutorial and build up until a town hall 2 before you can enter a clan.

An event is an event, there are rules outlined in an event. If people weren't kill hungry and actually didn't shoot at people for the reason of 'fun', we wouldn't have this problem. The officers involved have been disciplined per protocols and server rules. I'm pretty sure that a server administrator will do his job and investigate, not forgetting that he sees more than most of us do. Also if people weren't coming into city to bait cops explain the enlarged safezone around Market, how bridge used to be a place where baiting was so common. I know that the majority of civs don't bait, but there is a select few who do, completely ignoring the roleplay and fun of others.

VLR is not just for civs, Its for cops aswell, And dont tell me that cops even try value their lives while they are getting robbed. I have had SO many times where cops dont value their lives AT ALL. When we surround cops in striders, They still decide to get out spraying. and this happens literally every day. Cops do the same, except they just shoot you straight away, Ive attempted to roleplay in the past that I own a certain building inside sydney, when cops come in to try and set up and shoot people, I try tell them to leave and they just do exactly what you said.

I also had an issue where there was a HVT sub-mission in the main AO. Killed all his guards and went to capture him but he started walking. Him walking constantly cancelled the capture.

Might I suggest to reap more consumer surplus and maximize profits. Charge an initially high price, to be progressively cheaper per unit time the greater the donation period lasts, for single entry donations < AUD 120. It'd be more profitable as opposed to fixed AUD 10 payouts. Say AUD 17.5 monthly for 1 month, 34.0 for 2, 48 for 3, 58.0 for 4 ... ... Point being of such a system would be to earn as many donors' dollars as possible for those unwilling to expend a lump sum payment of AUD 120. I'd also recommend conferring some permanent but limited benefits for this subset of donors through permanent Area 51 availability to increase donation appeal. Whitelisting would of course be reserved for the ≥ AUD 120 donors. That way one could capture the portion of the market who are unwilling to do a AUD 120 donation, yet don't perceive current planned temporary benefits of limited donation were worth the costs. I hope my wording hasn't caused confusion, I'm not the most lucid of people as I write this.
