7 pointsHello and welcome As you can tell from the title, BattleRoyal.. It's a game mode consisting of 40-64 players to start the round, players are greeted with their transport plane struck by lighting while flying across the map of Altis. Everyone jumps out with a parachute and fights to survive! Players must find loot, gear, weapons and ammo. Anything they can to defeat all other players and be the last person standing at the end of the game. But it's not that easy when you are restricted to a certain area of the map! I'm sure the majority of you have played and or watched BattleRoyal, I've seen a few people from Altis Life jump on into the servers before. I for one am pretty into it thus why i made this post. I would like to see what the community thinks about having a StrayaGaming BattleRoyal server. Pros - Only AU server that offers BattleRoyal service. - Being the only AU server you'll get a lot of traffic. - Opens up a bigger player-base. Cons - Modded game mode

4 pointsTo be truthful, this has been attempted before, a lot of people wanted it to happen and when it did happen no one played on it. This is not to say that it may not work, but history tends to repeat itself. All my opinion, but would be great to see something like this to come up again.

3 pointsI wouldn't say that donations are what we are aiming for here, but instead something enjoyable that our current player base is wanting and can enjoy. My only issue with Factions and PvP in general is the salt and frustration that comes with it.

2 pointsI myself have some knowledge in configuring Minecraft server plugins. I've owned three server in which i configured myself to my liking, all three fell though as i just lost interest in Minecraft. Jail, Factions and SMP. I'd love to jump on and take a look around

1 pointI want to put in the suggestion that Go-Karts become roadworthy vehicles. If you have all the gear and a drivers license and you are not breaking any "laws" then the cops should have no reason to arrest you for it. Another reason to support this is that people dont pay, in my case $3, to purchase the Go-Kart DLC just to be told that we cant ride them, its not fair. Its just like in real life if you pay $100 for new tyres and the cops tell you that you cant use them even though they cause no issue. If cops arrest you for driving at NIGHT thats a different story because you dont have headlights and people wont see you but day should be allowed. Maybe even make it that you can buy Go-Karts with a Rego but at a $2500 cost. Either way we shouldnt have to be told we cant have Go-Karts after paying real money for it. What do you guys think? @Leopard @Gotenks @Yuri

1 pointWhile minecraft seems like the easiest thing to do, I must disagree. It is something which requires a lot of thought. Going off and developing a Server is rather easy, but putting together all elements to make an enjoyable, lasting experience isn't. While you might be able to develop a masterpiece, without good execution, it's destined to fail. Working with the monetisation rule is quite simple, create a plugin just like a forum giveaway and X days it draws a winner - but only if they enter in game -, or through voting (X chance of getting it), or any way which gives all players a chance of getting everything that you would if you donated (i.e. a .001 chance of getting something from mining stone, etc). Remember that cosmetics are fine, only things which impact gameplay fall under it. If you do go into donations, be prepared to be contacted by parents a lot about purchases they want refunded - because their credit card was taken by their kids... What a surprise. Some things to think about (kept small because I don't want another massive post) Survival/Sandbox/PvP ? Economy (one of the biggest ones)? What items? What plugins & commands? What features? Do you go for 1.8 PvP, or go for 1.9, 1.10 or 1.11? - Do you use a plugin for 1.8 PvP (Which may be very buggy) If you go for a sandbox, what players want is entities - they want to be able to use red-stone, use minecarts, have animals - all of which isn't too friendly on the server. Do you give them something like world edit - another feature people really enjoy, but isn't too friendly on the server either (yes, you can limit what they can do) If you go for something like hunger games (a gamemode), are you just making it for a quick session, or are you trying to make it enjoyable to play for hours (much harder)? Do you go with what has already been established (i.e. Factions, HungerGames etc.) or would you develop a new gamemode never thought of before? Do you go for one server, or more? How many to keep everything interesting with a playerbase? I am not here to discourage anything, just making sure everyone knows whats involved. (How do I know? 6 years of working on one server which has had its up and downs from 100-1000 on at a time, to 30-80 in its last stretches)

1 pointwe'd just use the current setup we have. Server manager, server admin, server moderator, trial server moderator you would need to adhere to the terms of monitization that mojang put in place too

1 pointEnough with the meme comments boys, lets be mature about this. Realistically speaking, If we were to get a Minecraft server implemented there would be a few things that would effect Straya as a whole. - An Entire new game to work with and develop, Not from scratch of course there are thousands of plugins that cover most basic needs of a server, You can tweak them to you're liking. - With every server you'll need staff, depending on the amount of traffic coming though the server you'll need at least 5. Head-Admin, Senior Admin, Admin, Moderator and if you wanted to have a Helper that has no permissions and just moderates chat you could have that aswell. - With every Minecraft server comes a build team, I'm sure we have many people in the community that have experience in building a spawn/server shop ECT. - Money. Now i understand money isn't Straya's first priority here, But having a decent player-base on you're server will bring in some revenue. You'll need to setup BuyCraft for this though (Simple & Easy) allowing players to buy some packages in-game would bring money to pay for the server so that wouldn't be an issue. Servers include: Factions, PVP, OPPVP, MiniGames, Survival, Hunger games, UHC and a lot more, The most popular would be Factions. If you'd like to hear more information your free to message me.

1 point@Red, either way you look at things from a Minecraft perspective there will always be salt in the community... its minecraft..
-
1 pointNever doubt the effectiveness of 12 year olds with their mother's credit cards, minecraft would be a decent stream of donations (This is speculation)
