Operation Pyrrhic Victory: The Finale The third and final operation in the Velvet Thunder Server vs Server event series is here! This round is the finals where Wasteland and Altis Life will be pitted against each other in a 16 vs 16 Team Deathmatch on Malden to compete for the the honor of the servers they represent! To win, a team must win 4 out of 6 rounds. Each round lasts for 5 minutes with an extra 2 minutes Overtime. Rounds are won through either eliminating the enemy team or having a player majority over the enemy team at the end of Overtime - Only one team will prevail. Player Information: As of current, weapons and kits will be standardised to ensure fair play with a standard calibre of 6.5mm, with a single 7.62mm Marksman loadout per team. There will be no arsenal availability in this final round. Players will have stamina disabled and will only have one life, so play wisely. Each team must consist of a maximum of 16 members. Players who wish to participate in the event should send an expression of interest to @Joshua_ or @Nunny ASAP. All current Team Commanders will be chosen by their relevant server managers within the next week. The event will take place on Sunday the 9th of June at 7pm AEST. All participants will be required to be in the Community Events channel on TeamSpeak (ts.straya.life) 20 minutes prior to the start of the event for a briefing on the rules of play. Server Commanders and participating players are encouraged to join the StrayaGaming Events Discord for ease of communication and planning in the lead-up to the event. This thread will be updated with any further information as the event draws closer. May the best team win!

Gateau St. Honoré SERVES 10-12 Anna OlsonBake With Anna Olson PRINT RECIPE This classic French torte is named after St. Honoré, the patron saint of pastry chefs. Not a cake-based confection, this torte has a puff pastry base, topped with pastry cream and whipped cream, surrounded by profiteroles dipped in caramelized sugar, their sugary tops resembling the halos of saints. Makes 1 9-inch torte. 529 Ratings DIRECTIONS FOR: GATEAU ST. HONORÉ INGREDIENTS Base 1 sheet rolled puff pastry, thawed in the fridge Pastry Cream 1 cup 2% milk ½ vanilla bean OR 1 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste 3 large egg yolks 3 Tbsp sugar 2 Tbsp cornstarch 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, cut into pieces Choux Paste ¾ cup 2% milk ¾ cup water 1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp unsalted butter 2 tsp sugar ½ tsp salt 1 ⅔ cup all-purpose flour 5 large eggs, at room temperature Profiteroles ½ recipe Choux Paste 3 Tbsp water 1 cup sugar 1 Tbsp white corn syrup Assembly 1 ½ cup whipping cream 1 ½ Tbsp skim milk powder 3 Tbsp sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 Tbsp raspberry purée 1 cup fresh raspberries DIRECTIONS Base 1. Preheat the oven to 375 F and line a baking tray with parchment paper. 2. Cut the puff pastry into a 9-inch circle (or use the shell from a 9-inch removable tart pan to cut a circle with a pretty fluted edge) and place this on the baking tray. Dock the pastry with a fork and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until an even golden brown. Cool. Pastry Cream 1. Heat the milk with the scraped seeds of the vanilla bean or the vanilla bean paste until just below a simmer. 2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch. Ready a bowl with the butter, placing a strainer on top of it. 3. Gradually whisk the hot milk into egg mixture and then return it all to the pot. Whisk this constantly (switching to a spatula now and again, to get into the corners) over medium heat until thickened and glossy, about 2 minutes. Pour this immediately through the strainer, whisking it through if needed, and stir in the butter. Place a piece of plastic wrap directly over the surface of the custard, cool to room temperature and then chill completely until ready to use. Choux Paste 1. Bring the milk, water, butter, sugar and salt up to a full simmer over medium high heat. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the flour with a wooden spoon, stirring vigorously until the dough “cleans” the sides of the pot (no longer sticks). Scrape this mixture into a large bowl and use electric beaters or a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment and beat on medium speed for a minute or 2 to cool it a little. 2. Break two eggs into a small dish and whisk them just to blend a little. Add these to the flour mixture while still on medium speed and mix until blended. Add the remaining 3 eggs one at a time and mixing well after each addition. 3. Work with this recipe while the batter is still warm. Profiteroles 1. Makes 2 recipes of choux paste. 2. For the profiteroles, preheat the oven to 400 F and line two baking trays with parchment paper. 3. Fill a piping bag fitted with a large plain tip with the choux paste. Pipe profiteroles, each about 1 ½ -inches across. Wet your finger in cool water and tap any points on the batter. You will need 16 to 18 profiteroles for the torte. 4. Bake the profiteroles for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 375 F and continue to bake for about 15 more minutes, until they are a rich golden brown colour and are very light. Allow the pastries to cool completely before filling. 5. To fill, stir the pastry cream to soften and fill a piping bag with a medium plain tip (or an éclair or doughnut tip, if you have one). Use a skewer to first poke a small hole in the side of each profiterole. Insert the piping bag and fill each with cream until you feel resistance. Save any remaining pastry cream for the torte. Chill until ready to dip in caramelized sugar. Assembly 1. Bring the water, sugar and corn syrup up to a boil in a small pot over high heat and continue to boil, uncovered and without stirring, and occasionally brushing the sides of the pot with water, until it is a light amber colour. Ready a bowl of ice water and carefully set the bottom of the pot into the ice water to halt the sugar from cooking further. 2. Using tongs, carefully dip the tops of the profiteroles halfway into the caramelized sugar and place them, caramel side down, on a lightly greased parchment-lined baking tray to set. If the caramel in the pot begins to set before you have finished, you can reheat the caramel on low heat. 3. To assemble, whip the cream and skim milk powder until it holds a soft peak and stir in the sugar and vanilla. Divide the cream in half, stir the raspberry puree into one half and then fill 2 piping bags fitted with a plain or star tip each with a cream. 4. Place the baked puff pastry disc onto the serving plate. Spread the remaining pastry cream on the bottom, leaving a half inch space around the outside edge. Arrange the dipped profiteroles on top of the puff pastry, creating a ring around the outside and so that the flat, caramel-dipped tops are facing up. Sprinkle the fresh raspberries over the pastry cream. Pipe alternating straight lines, circles or other patterns with the two colours of whipped cream and chill until ready to serve. 5. The St. Honoré is best served the day it is assembled, but the separate parts, pastry base, profiteroles and pastry cream, can be prepared a day ahead.

There are more than enough atms on the map if they were to add atms to every store they would need to add store occupied markers to them all otherwise you would never take a risk having a decent to large sum of cash on you.

I thought that is what you were doing with all the Help desk visits you make on a daily basis. I heard just before i left staff that they were going to make a "Skepta issues" wait channel for Help desk. But what would i know your the "God" and everything

i agree with Neanp if you want to buy a vehicle of a high end caliber and your running around with 50k+ on you, there should be a chance or a risk factor to get there the whole point of wasteland is PVP and its also a chance game as well, i my self have lost a few 100k from the old dash from atm to the airport. atms are well placed even though i get frustrated when trying to buy vehicles when u gotta drive up to 2ks but u get to learn to bring money

Vehicle stores don't have ATM's as you are to take your money from an ATM to the Store location having the risk of losing your money. You're meant to have a chance of losing your money before buying the vehicle. That's my opinion though. Not all Shops have an ATM near them, otherwise it would be an easy method of receiving a item or vehicle that you would like. and because we decided to only have so many ATM's. But if you have any other Suggestions i would like to hear about them, maybe there are some good ones.

You'd have more success trying to merge with an exile community. Last time Straya did Exile, it was popular for the first week then barely had any players after that. I'd rather the work go towards pop up servers, something like a modded I&A or wasteland. A game mode where you can get decent pop for the weekend or a week then shut it down and bring it back after a few months.

What's the go with some shops having ATM but not others? I'm not sure how others feel but when i go to a gun shop and their's no ATM wtf am i going to do? well of course i'm going to drive to the nearest atm and depending on which part of the map im at that could either be 2km from me or 500m. what i'm saying is it's not balanced prime example would be camp Maxwell and agious cephas one has a ATM and the other doesn't? so basically if you holding Agious you set but if you're in maxwell you're screwed giving them an unfair advantage over you. It simply makes no sense on why each shop wouldn't have a atm outside the shop or even inside? you come to wasteland to Fight and Kill each other But you spend 40% of the time driving just to get to a atm and then back? Not very fun. That's just my opinion would love what other players think could be added to wasteland to balance it. personally i think admins shouldn't be able to spawn money to

Dumb idea. Making money on cop has already been nerfed hard to the point where you can't sustain yourself by only playing cop.
