3 pointsInvade & Annex Jet/CAS/Artillery ROE Thanks to @decibel_spl for the original post - https://strayagaming.com.au/forums/topic/8322-roe-of-cas-and-artillery-updated/ These rules may be changed at any time without warning. If you have any issues, queries or comments, feel free to create a support ticket in Discord Failure to comply with the following rules may result in administrative action without warning. This can range from destruction of your jet/artillery to blacklisting from CAS or Pilot. Classification CAS: Close Air Support - CAS consists of any armed UAV, fixed-wing or rotor-propelled aircraft - this does not include miniguns on Ghost Hawks and other transport helicopters. Fire Support: Fire support consists of all fixed position or mobile artillery/mortars. Smoke shells included. Rules of Engagement 1. CAS and Fire Support CANNOT engage ground targets (boats included) without tasking by ground forces (infantry near the target). The UAV operator can designate targets and request support, but can only do so if other infantry are in/near the target area and actively working on completing the objective. The UAV operator cannot independently request fire support on Side Mission targets, unless requested to do so by infantry on the ground attempting the Side Mission. A valid tasking/call-in is as follows: A friendly infantryman typing a request into Side Channel, stating a specific position and/or target. A JTAC Marker using the "Confirm target" feature (Becomes an objective on the map) Support requests (i.e. call-in) made by Pilots (Transport or Fighter/CAS and/or JTAC whilst operating within a CAS asset) are not valid. The player requesting support AND the Pilot or Fire Support gunner must ensure, to the best of their ability, that no friendlies are in the target area. 2. The ONLY targets which can be engaged at free will are as follows: Enemy attack aircraft - Attack helicopters and enemy jets. Enemy ground vehicles which are outside of the AO/Side Mission area that pose a risk to other friendly aircraft, i.e. 2km+ outside of the objective area. During a HQ Defence, enemies outside a 100m radius of HQ, but not those associated with a Side Mission or other objective. 3. Targets that CANNOT be engaged under any circumstances are: The HQ. The Radio Tower. General 1. Do not fly near Side objectives (Missions) unless necessary to complete a specific mission and have approval from ground forces completing the objective. This puts the enemy on alert and, for some Side Missions, triggers a timer. 2. Do not ram or attempt to ram into targets, objectives or aircraft. 3. Do not interfere with Zeus missions/objectives/targets under any circumstance unless specifically requested. If you see any player in violation of the above rules, contact a staff member on Discord by submitting a support ticket, or typing !admin ingame. UPDATED 19/1/20 - Changed 1.2.2; added specific on what support meant and who it applies to - Changed General 1 to include requires ground forces approval - Added specific provisions for JTAC call-ins

2 pointshttp://store.steampowered.com/app/571710/Arma_3_Laws_of_War/ The Orange DLC is a humanitarian role based DLC with mine clearing and an ambulance. It even comes with a mine-clearing robot drone. Key Features International Development & Aid Project (IDAP) - This new faction, IDAP, is a non-governmental organization which is specialized in rapidly responding to humanitarian disasters. The faction is composed of new IDAP-branded clothing and gear, including outfits for specialized roles such as Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialists, as well as many other tools, supplies, and other items. "Remnants of War" Mini-Campaign - Take on the role of IDAP explosive specialist Nathan MacDade, who is tasked with identifying and deactivating mines after the war in the Republic of Altis & Stratis has ended. While you are being interviewed by an investigative journalist, you will uncover what happened in the town of Oreokastro, experiencing the events from the perspective of various sides, in recollections that span multiple periods of time. Van - IDAP makes use of a new van, which comes in multiple variants, with over twenty custom liveries in total. Each variant caters to a specific purpose, such as cargo logistics or the transport of people. There is also an ambulance variant available. Utility & Demining Drone - IDAP has a new drone at its disposal to be able to quickly move cargo or supplies to a specific location. A special variant of the drone is used as part of IDAP's demining operations. APERS Mine Dispenser - The APERS Mine Dispenser is an effective but controversial area denial weapon system. It is typically only used in desperate situations, and can have devastating effects even long after a conflict has ended. Vests, Bags, Headgear & Facewear - Various pieces of new gear are available to help you carry out your duties. This includes safety vests, messenger bags, hard hats and press helmets, ear protectors, safety goggles, and much more. Additional Content - The Laws of War DLC adds a variety of miscellaneous additional content, such as time trial challenges for the new van and drone, a paramedic outfit, and a training mine. Supporting Feature Extensions Cluster Strikes & UXO - Refined cluster strikes provide a highly destructive form of warfare, while the newly introduced simulation of Unexploded Ordnance means that some cluster bomblets might not explode upon impact. Mines - Several improvements to the identifying and clearing of mines (and other explosives) make for a more manual process, with a greater emphasis on the Mine Detector tool. Leaflets - You can now drop informational pamphlets from the sky using the new Utility Drone, which can then be picked up and read by people on the ground. You can also apply your own leaflet designs to your own custom scenarios. LOAC - New additions to the Field Manual cover the Laws of Armed Conflict, while small tweaks to the Arma 3 sandbox also improve the in-game representation of LOAC. Supporting Content Showcases IDAP & Laws of War - Two new individual scenarios offer an introduction to the DLC's new faction and topic. In Showcase IDAP, you visit one of the organization's open days on Altis. while in Showcase Laws of War you take part in an IDAP training course. Additional IDAP Content - In support of their operations, IDAP has access to emergency and medical supplies, such as cardboard boxes, food sacks, water bottle packages, blankets, stretchers, IV bags, body bags, and more. Cluster Bombs - Deploy three new faction-specific cluster munitions from aircraft, but also deal with unexploded ordnance that may be left behind afterwards. Decorative Objects - On top of IDAP-specific props, several new decorative objects are available, including shelter tents, separate floor canvases, new furniture, an air-conditioning unit, and plastic net fences. Official Soundtrack - Listen to new music tracks composed specifically for this DLC. Steam Achievements - Unlock a set of extra Steam Achievements related to the new content.

2 pointsIt is possible to split the UAVs up between multiple operators, but not something I'm interested in doing at the moment. I have reduced the maximum active UAVs (Greyhawks/UCAVs) to 1.
-
2 points9/08/17 Changes: FOB - When activated, the following will happen: Arsenal box spawns. Respawn services are enabled and 16 revive tickets are given. Spawning at the FOB is enabled for everyone, so long as they've died within a certain distance of an objective or the FOB itself. 10/8 5pm - Vehicle Respawn services are enabled as well. Added airfield-only Bobcat. If it leaves the airfield, it will kick the crew out and respawn itself. Frequency of enemy jet spawns increased. Maximum active UAVs (Greyhawk/UCAV) reduced to 1. Removed Advanced Sling Loading mod.

2 pointsFirstly, the only successful rust server straya has ever hosted was made by me so your attempt at talking shit is invalid and almost as irrelevant as most of the trash videos and useless posts like this one that you make on a daily basis.... Secondly, you say it's free but it's very high intensity on the dedi which means if it's not made as a separate server by itself then the other servers are gonna have a cry because they'll start lagging Thirdly, you state you were some big dog on this community that had 60-110 players online but gave it up to come back to SG just to ask for a new rust server that's a fresh start? If you really just wanted a rust server regardless of the watermark/host-name you would've stuck to your server that was apparently quite successful or as Nova stated you would've asked to merge with strayagaming keeping the successful player base of the server as well as helping out SG at the same time, so the way you've done it here is you've either ditched that server in an attempt to use rust to make your way back into the staff team so you can probably end up having a sook and wrecking the youtube again or your apparent successful server was never existent and that's just your way of attempting to get some sort of praise and to make yourself look good in hope that the SG Leads will let you create there 4th and once again unsuccessful rust server :)... To conclude this statement, stop with the dropkick posts and pollution of the forums and stick to making your trash videos xx... Don't attempt to roast me when i haven't even started on you yet ;) much love. Yours sincerely, Brodie!

1 pointIf you really are as keen as you say for running/setting up this server then shoot an email to these guys [email protected] and have a chat to work out pricing etc. on your new server. I personally think that this is a bad Idea as we have done rust multiple times with no real success (and the only time the server was fun was with @Brodie running it). At the moment I personally think we should make the stuff we have work well then move into expanding via esport groups and new games that are actually out and not just sitting on early access.

1 pointI cannot be bothered quoting all the different comments here, so here's my TL;DR response to the above: Nova, I agree Smokey's posts are a bit difficult to read, but try approaching that topic with a little more tact and you'll find people more receptive. Smokey, try taking on board that people will read and respect your opinions more if they're well-written. It's human nature. Brodie, I wasn't on the SG Rust server for long before it died but I do recall your work on it. I recall the issue with Rust was the constant updates to keep the server current, and I believe an absence of staff caused that to drop behind and most of the player-base departed shortly after. I was one of the first on the Rusted Outback server, but it also had near zero players and the Admin/Mod allowed a friend to use his account and he trolled us. Killed the fun for me. Smokey, your comment about 'taking over gaming' in Australia in relation to our name is just not realistic. We want StrayaGaming to be successful, not take everything over. Fitz/Nova, I'm likely to agree with you that the market for Rust servers is saturated with established servers and the game itself is too long in the tooth to start one up ourselves. I also agree we should be looking to new(er) games where possible otherwise we're trying to cut into establish player-bases and that risks conflict with other communities which we may not need. Tagging the above here because I'm laze: @InfamousNova, @Fitz, @Brodie and Smokey (**** trying to find the character code for that star to link this properly). TL;DR - Rust might not be the best server to start up at this stage after all, and more than one of the posts above breaks Wheaton's Law. Try to play nice boys .

1 pointAnother thing I just thought of to make a FOB viable is to maybe have some AI AA there. Whether it's in the form of a cheetah or an AI AA squad. This could create a safety corridor for incoming pilots, and a fallback safe zone for the armor. It would also be good to protect the armor limping back to the fob for repairs & rearm. I agree with @decibel_spl that the place is a graveyard. The AA & maybe even a patrol squad (AI) would be cool.

1 pointtakes like a min to check your spelling tbh. manager* like its not hard ay plus this post is pretty stupid considering we have tried rust like 4 times and each time it has died. and as fitz has pointed out there are already plenty of aus rust servers

1 pointG'day ladies & gentlemen Now with recent sightings and reports its a fact that combat logging is on the rise with offenses committed. Due to this Altis Life Staff will be focusing on the Combat logging and will start to deal harsher punishments for people with prior offenses against their name (regardless if they have been banned or watchlisted). Do remember Gents & Ladies that Combat Logging is still against the rules this also applies when you have died. EXAMPLES Been restrained by police then Logging = Combat logging Been KIA and then Logging before respawning = Combat logging been in an active dec with another player/gang then logging = Combat logging Logging out during a raid from police / Rebels = Combat logging Gents I do highly recommend that you avoid Combat Logging as it ruins the gameplay for you (because you'll be removed) and the other players. if you have any queries feel free to contact HELP-DESK on Teamspeak or Contact @Lotza | @Snowwie SaiyajiN | @Subnoize | @martin & Altis life Moderation Team

1 pointI'm sure someone out there should have been able to find a way, with or without mods, but I wouldn't really know. In any case, I actually agree with this idea. Only having one aircraft forces the operator to invest more focus on it, which, pared with the time it takes to respawn, could actually do a good job at both improving the experience for the operator, but also force them to use the other tools at their disposal. Why would I care if an enemy jet is going to shoot down one of my UCAVs when the other is mere seconds away? Any limitation to the 'UAV' part of the 'UAV Operator' would likely force the role to lean further towards getting out into the field, rather than sitting outside the AO, or even at base, changing it from an aggressive, self contained, fighting element to more of a supporting one. This would actually be a pretty neato idea for the infantry on the ground, and could, possibly, push the UAVOP to be more inclined to focus on where enemy infantry positions are, for both their and the friendly infantry's survival. When I play UAVOP, I have found the second UCAV to be more of a bother than an asset anyway, usually sending it to circle side mission just in case I want to have a look over there for whatever reason. I imagine there are a lot of people that like having two, but it just gets in the way for me. The idea of the UAVOP leaning more towards recon than CAS, of which this change would encourage, is enticing as well.

0 pointsno one wants to run over a kilometer just to get to the ao and die. people already complain if you land out too far
