First , my apologizes oh humble reader of the forums for not taking screen shots at the time. That said , allow me to continue good sirs. Yesterday I hoped onto the server to test some ideas that myself , Mccain and BmanZ07 had for streamlining lawyer / client / police interaction at the Police Station interview rooms. So here is a point form run down of the high lights. 1: Arrive Brisbane PD in a suit and talk with police about representing clients. 2: Granted permission to sit on bench opposite Interview rooms. 3: Police bring me clients that either ask for a lawyer because of side chat advertisements or clients who they have told " There is a lawyer here if you want one ". 4: Invited to assist in 4 separate interviews representing 5 separate people. 5: 1 Case involved multiple weapons 6.5+ caliber and a pawnee - No jail - minimal fines - Due to Great police role play and respectful players held under restraint. 6: 1 case involved a help desk issue vs police - that was resolved via ingame role play - with minimal compensation ($30,000 for 15 mins of time) - and no helpdesk intervention ? Again due to great police role play - and the client being respectful. 7: 2 more cases that were resolved on good terms with the clients paying fines - but not going to jail - and the police feeling they were both respected and appreciated by the clients and the lawyer. Look i know there are times when some police are simply hobo killers. And there are times when civilians are " Is that a guy in blue or white - shoot it .. shoot it ... a shot is a dec .. shoot it ". But there are easily just as many times when you can actually role play issues out with police because just like civilians .... they want to role play not just shot. So all said and done.... im going to end this post with a BiG thank you to the Police officers involved. You know who you are. A larger thank you to the police officer who asked one client if it was ok if he sat in the room while i talked " privately " so he could see how this whole " LAWYER " thing worked. As above to the client who after saying " Ah no.... go away " and the officer left the room... said " If hes going to respect me and my rights .. he can come back in ... im cool with it as long as he doesnt tell the other cops what is being said ". @2Square this is a statement made in sheer ignorance, as @Connor. said this time of year the server always loses a significant amount of its population as a result of exams, the server is clearly not dying. Every year it is said at around this time that the server is dying. To blame this on the new update that the SG development team have worked hard on is again ignorance and a lack of gratefulness for all the work they have put in to make your time on the server better. Sydney was only a good place if you wanted to break rules or troll, as a result I understand your frustrations. Sydney is not the reason that long-term players played the server before the wipe and Sydney was not where the quality combat situations happened at, it was simply an everlasting cluster**** for staff, rebels, medics and cops. If you were paying attention in the school holiday period after the wipe, before people started leaving to focus on exams, the server was consistently at max population in peak hours and in the non peak hours the server pop was still high enough to be able to find people everywhere to rob (for rebels) and to arrest (for cops). Brisbane lacks the same choke-points that Sydney had which made it such a cluster****, so in that sense the the staff have achieved their goal by de-****ing Sydney. As a result the only people that would have resent toward this are the small gangs that focus on trolling cops and breaking rules, namely SF (what a coincidence). The update has spread people out across the map much more effectively than the previous map layout, another success. On whether or not the community should decide the rules, this does have benefits, however you have kind of shot yourself down by revealing that your only intention with this is to allow you to go into city limits with rebel gear. Think of all the great roleplay that will come of that. This would completely reverse the progress the staff have made to de-**** the main city. Its obvious that you only want rebel gear in city limits to kill cops in suv's and with 9mm's, the exact reason the rule was introduced. If you want to fight cops there are plenty of opportunities for you to do it outside of city limits (cops now leave city limits). In conclusion, stop making ignorant and ungrateful statements that simply aren't true. In addition to this don't ask for community voting on rules just to pass your one agenda of killing helpless cops in SUV's within Brisbane when there are vast opportunities to fight them elsewhere.

Why the appeal should be accepted: [50 Words] I was blacklisted for a non cop related issue and this is just unfair, I would totally understand If I broke the police rules or the server rules but I haven't and never did. This disciplinary action was unnecessary. I’m not a bad cop but I will say I have been a bad civilian. Any other information: I waited in the command channel for hours and after talking to some high ranking police members, I was helped they eventually removed the blacklist and the problem was solved, I was able to play cop again and I did occasionally just play as a peaceful pub slot until recently, I went to play after not playing for months I was gearing up to stop a bank Robbery, until I was moved out of channel by Big Kev and told that he would be reinstating the blacklist because he claimed It was not removed properly the last time and that's when he kicked me off and blacklisted me again. Most importantly: I would like to apologize to Mitch as yes I was rude towards him I hope I can make that very clear I wasn't kind or polite when speaking to him and I won't let it happen again I'm sorry, And Mitch might not be the only person who I might have annoyed or been rude towards in the past and if im held accountable for anything it will be that and that's the truth. Cant beat around the bush I was rude towards him and for that I do apologize. I hope that I'm able to play as a cop again and I want to be judged on how I play as a cop and not on what I have done in the past, as I have never ever done anything wrong while playing cop I have followed all the rules and never disrespected anyone while being a cop, yes I have been rude to police officers while role playing as a civ but nothing serious to warrant a permanent blacklist. StrayaGaming Altis Life - Poll #1 Hi all, As per our post here, fortnightly polls are planned to be released to provide Altis Life players an opportunity to have a say in what changes are being made to the server. This is the first installment in what we hope will be one of many. All responses to the poll are anonymous, so please feel free to vote honestly. If you have any suggestions or ideas that you would like to see added, let us know by posting a topic outlining your idea here. 1. Kavala City Limits As per the new Altis Life narrative, Kavala (Sydney) has fallen into disarray as rebel forces seized strategic locations in the city, forcing the cops and civilians to evacuate. To continue with the narrative, city limits could be removed to allow rebel groups to roam the city they overtook. 2. Property Ownership Limits When the server was wiped, the amount of properties players could own was decreased to 3. Many players have expressed an interest in having this raised to a limit of 4 properties. 3. Repair/Refuel Station at the Airport A repair/refuel station would be added to the Airport, allowing for easy refueling and repairing of planes and jets. 4. M-900 & Armed Orca Helicopters These two helicopters could be added to the Civilian and Rebel stores to provide a greater choice of purchasable aircraft. 5. Airdrop Missions Since the wipe the contents of the airdrop have remained largely unchanged. The contents of the airdrop could be modified to include a greater variety of items and a chance at higher tier weapons/gear. 6. Rebel Capture Zones For a long time rebels have requested that the gang hideout capture points should be redesigned, or revamped entirely. As this is a large feature, a longer period of time may be needed for us to implement it. 7. Brisbane Market Fire Since the wipe, the main role-play area has been changed to Brisbane. Should the fireplace be removed from the communal area?

When ever I try to do lawyer roleplay the cops always get really hostile and uncooperative and try to do everything in there power to stop me representing my client...

@Joshua_ What do you mean I've been on the server for 4 coming up to 5 years now and every single member of my gangs and just players in general have been posting non-stop on how the community and the server can change but noone has listened im not complaining im just stating that staff had put up posts like you saying ''How can we help change straya" we give opinion's and its not good enough because it doesn't meet Management's Standard on whats good for the server, When i was a moderator i did alot of talking alot of posting something that i wasnt good at doing but i did it cause the community needs a change and "F*ck syndey right off that shit was a hell hole it was a place for cops/civilians to break rules and a chaos for staff in general". If the staff team seriously want to help go back to my Suggestions 7 Months back and start from there.

As mentioned earlier in the year by @Red in his community update post, we are introducing a narrative to Altis Life with the coming economy wipe. We have come to the decision to use the narrative written by @James32. The narrative will be the backbone of the Altis Life server, and has been a major factor in the rework of the AL Map. This narrative is not strict and players may choose not to use it when they play. This will also allow us to make changes to the meta and server as we move forward into the future. The narrative is as follows: Emergency Broadcast from the Altis Minister of Police Reads: Over the last 3 months Rebel activity in and around Sydney has been gradually increasing, However in the past few days the city has come under a new wave of rebellious activity culminating in the invasion of the city and acts of full scale terrorism. The Altis government has been forced into exile, the prime minister fled Sydney escorted by a full contingent of APD officers. A new emergency command and control headquarters of the APD has been established in Brisbane to allow the re-establishment of civil control until such time as they are prepare to attempt to retake Sydney and surrounding areas. All civilians have been evacuated from Sydney to protect their lives.However Sydney, the financial and cultural hub of Altis has been infested by rebels and has descended into anarchy. The Altis central Bank’s data centers and house registries were destroyed in an act of terrorism against the state, leading to the complete irrecoverable loss of all financial data from all citizens of Altis. However our economy will recover if we band together and make Altis a better place. Well, no it's kind of the opposite. In some cases the server rules mimic some laws but that's simply so the server is more balanced, I.E no big guns in city limits since when that was allowed it was a cluster ****. Server rules and Laws kind of have to be separate, since the cops don't enforce server rules, they enforce the laws, and vice versa for the moderation team. If people were getting picked up by mods for speeding, or getting kicked for shooting another civilian (While that is illegal, it's not against the rules) it'd be a little silly. The laws and server rules really shouldn't have any correlation, server rules should exist to make the server fair. Laws simply exist for the APD/Civillians to have guide lines to RP by.
