2 pointsin a little disagreement with my pal geetting quite frustrating lol, so, Heart react for CS:GO only game you can play forever or Thumbs up for Rainbow six siege only game you can play forever Last option being facepalm if they're both trash, i'd pick csgo easily.

1 pointI have a suggestion for arty, remove the fixed base arty scorcher/MLRS and add in a veteran slot for a Zamak MRL with a fixed range of 1700-2200m, and a once per AO respawn if destroyed, this forces the role to be close enough to an objective/AO to be at risk from enemy air assets and roaming vehicles, also limits a ammo spam setup as it will have to re-position to get coverage across AO, possibly limit it to only service bay rearms from base or FOB as this would force it fire then head back to rearm, this would cause a slower re engage time then CAS. The current Arty gunner role is such a frustrating role as it require sitting at base waiting each AO to fire only 4 shots that don't even take out enemy armour with 2 direct hits (yes tested, had T140 lazed and called arty in as per CAS/ARTY request, then had to call in CAS airstrike anyway to take it out). I would love to hear others views on this, I did some testing with the zamak MRL and think would be supportive but not OP.

1 pointThe Zamak MRL was in for a while (without the fixed range though), but some people weren't using it appropriately, so it was removed. The current arty gunner role isn't meant to be using the base arty all the time anyway; they should be focusing on using the Mk6 mortar or other static weapons. Laser guided rounds are already in the base arty. The Zamak can only fire HE rockets. Illumination/flare rounds can only be fired from the Mk6 mortar.

1 pointOnly just catching up on all this now. My experience on the server has been that the weapon spawns are spot on. In my first spawn, on the server when I first started, I think I spawned in Houdan, couldn't find a gun in that town, but I did find bag, clothes, and food. Ran to the next town Dourdan, (both are relatively small towns), I found 9mm pistol and a Vermin. Both with ammo. Then I found a suppressor and SMG scope for the Vermin. I was pretty pumped. From that point I just made my way to the safe zone and tried to co-ordinate with other players. Since then I've had no issues finding weapons lying around. There is like a small 1 room, light blue coloured guard house kinda building at the entrance to the safe zone. I've noticed this building has a shotgun spawn in it 50% of the time I check. The other 50% of the time its either a pistol or some food. So good building to check. I understand this is just my experience, but I have heard from others who have been on that have had similar. I don't agree that every single spawn you have, you should find a gun in the first town you spawn in. Sure it is nice if you do, but I don't think there is anything wrong with sneaking out, making the 5 - 10 minute run to the next town and finding one there. Malden's not a massive map. The towns aren't far apart.

1 pointOn the “can’t find a weapon in a town”. I literally walked into La Trintite near the safe zone and I found several M1014’s and Stings. Both with are incredibly viable in the early game. I also found several of the Vermin’s. and several revolvers and Four-Five pistols. All with at least 2-3 mags.

1 pointA general note to non StrayaGaming CQC Server players There is a risk that the AntiCheat will detect and ban players who have played on CQC servers that are not hosted by StrayaGaming. These server have a tendency to use mission files which leave code on client side and when join the StrayaGaming Altis Life Server the AntiCheat bans the players for unauthorized code. How to not get banned after playing a non SG CQC Server To avoid a ban after playing on non SG CQC Server simply restart your game before connecting to SG's Altis Life Sever. What if I forget to restart? If you forget to restart your game and you join the SG Altis Life Server you will be banned by the AntiCheat under the reason of hacking. If this happens you are required to place a ban appeal. Theses bans will no longer be automatically removed by staff. If you have any questions, please contact myself or a senior member of the Altis Life Staff Team.

1 pointYou'd have more success trying to merge with an exile community. Last time Straya did Exile, it was popular for the first week then barely had any players after that. I'd rather the work go towards pop up servers, something like a modded I&A or wasteland. A game mode where you can get decent pop for the weekend or a week then shut it down and bring it back after a few months.

0 pointsHey everyone, Today I wanted to share some sad news with everyone, and then offer some insight into the future. Due to personal reasons (particularly centered around ongoing health issues), @Connor. has elected to step down from staff/development position for Straya/Altis-life moving forward. This doesn't mean Connor wont be contributing at all in the future, but he will be moving to doing contracted work on a project by project basis should we need it in the future. As for day-to-day AL Dev and the options as I see it for dev moving forward. In the short-medium term I'll be taking over a large part of the day to day AL Development work such as updating miscelaneous systems/functionality changes Altis-Life senior staff will be doing all the map and a large part of the config changes such as accessibility of weapons ect so that our development cycle can continue in between more major changes that we recruit Connor for! To be very clear AL dev should not stall following these changes, it will just become a bit more diversified/will have an actual structure to it instead of Connor shouldering all the hard work. We are also open to people writing code for the mission however this will be blind (without access to the entire mission file) to ensure the security of the mission file. As such what I'm looking for, for anyone who wants to contribute, is stand alone systems/features built by you to improve AL gameplay, if @Mitch and his staff approve the addition and the code is of sufficient quality I will then work on integrating your standalone content into the existing AL mission file. In order to minimize wasted work if you have skills in this area I would suggest contacting Mitch in order to be given features that are more likely to be approved/that staff want. Even though this news is sad and Connor will be missed greatly as a regular member of our staff team I hope everyone will give him recognition for his years of hardwork and dedication; and from everyone in staff I would like to wish him the best in his future endeavors! He has added a huge amount of quality content to AL, including back end security with a leading anticheat system that has protected us from over 500 hackers in the last year, along with countless performance improvements that allow the server to sustain far more clients at a playable level than it used to! For all of this and more we will always be grateful to him. If anyone has any questions about anything related to how things will move forward in this post i'll leave it open for replies so you can ask them.
