Planet 39. Ferrahm. Miki Why do you deserve a promotion? (50 Words min) I believe I deserve the promotion from Senior Constable to Sergeant for a number of reasons. Firstly I enjoy being a role model and a hard working member of the APD. I actively take CO for GD, Banks and have been involved with negotiating hostage situations when no detectives are on. Secondly, i provide a fun and friendly learning environment to GD officers helping them get the most out of their roleplay and understanding server rules and scenarios. Thirdly, I would like to be able to add to peoples wnated lists for the GD officers without having to disturb others. I am a very active member with 150 hours+ in the last 30 days on cop and I believe I can add value to GD as a sergeant. I am not currently planning to join a division therefore all of my time on cop is dedicated to playing with the General Duty members. Who would recommend you for a promotion? 4 pointsi`m suggesting a script that allows for the Rhib and little sub to be loaded into the back of the vehicle blackfish. This could be done by have the mini sub or Rhib be towed by the Hemtt and loaded into the blackfish like the fuel, ammo and repair containers are. Also another mission that has to do with water, or having to hit some of the small islands to secure an objective, by doing this letting the use of boat and the mini sub be a option

(50 Words min) I believe i am suitable for a promotion as i am a dedicated hardworking Senior Constable, i take lead when needed and help out the newer recruits with the basics. I have learnt a lot from being apart of the APD and believe given the role of Sergeant it would allow me to progress within the APD and become a better officer and mentor, I am formerly PolAir division and currently in Academy so i have experience dealing with new recruits. If given the opportunity to become Sergeant i would take it with great pride and responsiblity and work within the APD to give advice and training to new recruits. 1 pointHello Everybody, It's been a while since I've posted on the forums, I know this seems like a weird idea, however, none the less just hear it out. I know I've been gone for a while, however it's allowed me to gain an insight on the opinions of the community and their thoughts on staff. NOTE: If there are any staff mentioned in this post do NOT take it personally, this is just a post regarding opinions, thus going to be subjective The post is aimed at removing inactive staff and for the Leads ( hopefully unbias ) to put "good" staff in charge of HR ( Human Resources ) and to manage the staff effectively. Nevetos was the best ( and only ) staff manager Straya had, however with rumors of his departure. There is nobody to fill the role. The current "Junior Staff Managers" ( Support Leaders ) are quite dodgy and have made decisions which previous staff members wouldn't even consider. This has changed the positioning of support within the community. It used to be a privilege and an opportunity to showcase your skills within staffing. It was a pathway to future staff, people were put into support if we could see them getting mod with the same attitude. This raised the bar of support, therefore having a higher quality. Recently the support has lowered "I only put an app in to **** around and see if they were dumb enough to put me in" - CURRENT support team member. The attitudes of players within staff has changed, including mods. It's become more of a "**** it" and "I'm never going to get that rank, however _____ has gotten it so anything is possible" these quotes are from people within CURRENT staff, showcasing the attitudes and the mindset. Overall this post was just to give an insight to the leads and people of this community what staff is looking like. The idea about resetting staff came from the idea of cop, they kept a few key members to help rebuild to what it is now. Staff would work similarly, put somebody incharge of support who is good and people actually respect, somebody who people want to work under, that they DON'T hate. Resetting staff would remove the staff that are on and off every now and then, it would improve the mindset of staff now that these positions are now vacant. Obviously there can be some exceptions to keep staff running, however this post is to try and increase the formal relationship between the community and the staffing team. If you're not going to comment anything constructive please leave. I'd love to have a discussion about this, please don't take any offense to this. As mentioned above this is a subjective post. This is just simply my opinion.

1 pointAm I the only one who feels like Straya is being run like a company rather than like a community of people who enjoy playing a certain game? Especially with the current staff team I think Senior staff ahs become too confident that no matter what happens the community won't die. I feel that we as a community have lost the sense of mateship.

1 pointWithout a doubt, the majority of our players are atleast content with the current staff team. It looks like they aren't because of a few voices, these few voices are exceptionally loud which creates the illusion that "half the community hate X staff member". This has come up countless times, whenever someone gets a position that a few dissagree with. I have long learnt to completely ignore their opinions unless I am met with evidence to support the claims. Every single time we 'lose half our community' our player count (On average) does not drop, this is because it's only a very small portion of players that leave. In most cases these are players that ruin the integrity of the game and are a blight on our community. So really... I don't mind it happening. I am happy with most of the senior staff team, there are only a few that need to improve their work and i'd rather work with them on that instead of removing them.

Why the appeal should be accepted: [50 Words] I think that the appeal should be accepted because it was an honest mistake, I didn't know how to deal with the current situation because I only had Knockdown rounds on my player at the time. Personally I think that there should be more rules and restrictions that are obvious to Civ's and Cops regarding actions around the prison because worst case scenario it may lead to more matters like this. I know that it did go against protocol in some specific ways. Any other information: I had sent a message saying 'if you land within this area you will be tazed' or something of the sorts, which technically does count as a failed dec, however I was scared that whilst typing he would land and dip before I had finished typing. ..............................................................................................................................................................

0 pointsGreetings everyone, I have planned to leave at the beginning of the month, but I have ultimately made this public post now? Why is that? Well, I have been to busy to retire, now isn't that ironic ;). Also I am just submitting this right before work so i dont know how complete this is... I want to be as frank and straightforward as possible with what happens behind the scenes. Communication between the staff team was extremely difficult initially, however it is slowly improving which is great. Toxicity and backstabbing each other is probably the biggest reason as to why things go wrong (not just from staff members) - this point was not relating to the very recent forums mess when I wrote it a month ago. Working through the ranks from support team I was apart of groups and we always managed to find something negative about the higher ups and their decisions. When we got asked about it, or could have spoken out about those issues we never did, instead keeping it to ourselves until we exploded. Sadly, this is still the case at times. My tip would be to talk it out with them, instead of fuming and going off to the next manager. As for Red, well... (The aforementioned image may be taken out of context *cough*) (EDIT: let me re-iterate, this is a joke) He is great - he does things which are necessary even if they seem abrupt or 'out there'. He deals with those noone else would be comfortable with and I must say his occasional 'spring cleanings' were a real treat. I will still be there to maintain my documents, and may return if I end up having more time (Not before Dec.). It was a pleasure to be here with every one of you (unless you went and broke some google docs, because I like google docs). I hope everyone enjoys their time and have a good rest of the year!

0 pointsIf you think 'rank resets' work everywhere because it worked in some specific situation, please think again... HR is more complex than you might think. As for the comment of run like a business, not a community, I will put my two cents to that after work.
